    IMO Chiltons is most always a bit vague on some things. I believe it's because they assume that there are certain repairs that the DIY'er should not do. Look on ebay for the factory manuals. I have bought several for different vehicles I own. They tend to be pricey but they are way more detailed...

    OK.....major problem! I probed and found a switched wire in the box you referred to....not paying much attention to what circuit it was. It worked just fine to trigger the relay but apparently it had something to do with the instrument panel and gauges.......now they won't work? I have probed...
