Yup I saved a screenshot just in case. The warranty is applied to the VIN of the truck and covers the engine regardless if it was replaced or not.- Trellis

Engine swap is complete picked up my truck this morning. During the L87 recall when the original engine passed inspection I received a warranty update 10 years 150k miles. That coverage now transfers to the new engine from what my service advisor told me.- Trellis

No smoke or any oil spots in the driveway. They didn’t give me any details on what the cause could be. Just that they will open a case with GM to see what they recommend to which it was decided to replace the engine.- Trellis

Have a 2022 Suburban RST with the 6.2 L87 engine with 45k miles on it. Engine recall passed and dealer switched to 0w40.
