    Transmission shudder - what about it?

    I had the same issue come up during a long road trip. I let things cool down and made it home without a repeat. I then changed the fluid and filter (not a flush), This was about 3 months ago and everything has been running fine since. I believe it was old fluid heating up and losing viscosity.

    While at it, consider the new pan to have an integrated drain plug so you don't have to drop the pan for fluid changes, also PPE and Banks make a pan that's deeper (about 2 more quarts), and can funnel more air around the pan to keep transmission temp lower.

    My Tahoe's battery dies overnight. I traced the draw to the Stereo. Now I'm need to figure out what to do, replace stereo seems to be the only option.

    Tough situation to be in. On the positive end, you do know the maintenance/service the history on the engine. However, if you purchase a newer (used) SUV you will not know the service history (I wouldn't trust car fax). This is where numbers crunching comes in. Whomever came up with this AFM...
