    Advice please

LOL, I once drilled a hole into the wall ( don't ask why ) in the garage. I found the stud with a stud finder and I missed with the drill to the right by millimeters. But I didn't miss the copper water pipe that was right there apparently. Drilled a hole in it. Turn the main water off and...

    Rear brakes still surging

I assume this only happens as you are coming to a stop and you can feel the undulating? If it were your front brakes you would feel it in the steering wheels as well. But the back brakes tend to give you that undulating or surging feel. I had this as well when braking with only about 10k miles...

    HELP!!!

This one sounds like the ground behind the engine passenger side. it is likely broken. Tiny little wire bolted to the engine block. Ridiculous design. That little wire will cause all kinds of havoc if not grounded properly. Hard to reach the bolt but can be done with a little finagling. Also...

When is enough to let go?

Well the minimum cost of a RS1 is $78,000 plus about ( roughly ) 5% for tax license and registration in Colorado. So if you buy one with no frills, it is about $84,000 minus a $7500 refund on your taxes. So out the door is about $76,000. $6,000 more if you want the 321 miles battery, $82,000...

When is enough to let go?

I don't do the the heavy duty stuff anymore. I pay someone to handle it. For instance I had a major real seal and oil leak at the very same time. It was leaking bad. It cost me $2500.00 and it was worth it. You should do the same and spend a few thousand dollars and few more if needed to...

    Yukon xl misfire

Did you check those fuel trims during the "bucking and popping sessions"? It sounds like it is intermittent so I would do that first. Are you losing any coolant? Also spraying water or carb cleaner doesn't always find the leak unless it is a large enough leak that you can tell immediately...

2003 Reduced Engine Power in Tahoe; Only code 1516 now

Hopefully you replaced all sensors with OEM. ACDelco for the throttle body for sure. When you replaced the pigtail and if that was the problem, it is imperative that you solder the connections. Super important! Also as you do this, be careful with the 8 wires at the TPS, you could actually...

    2003 Yukon Reduced Engine Power

Super important that when you replaced the wiring harness, you solder the connections - this is a must. Again this is a must. Do not use crimp connectors or solder connectors of any kind. This is must do. The two grounds behind your engine can be the issues as well. There is a thin ground...

    So long everyone.

This is great forum. People are mostly good to awesome. Let's keep it kind and with a thought of how I can be a blessing to others. I replaced my 706 heads with a huge input from folks here. some really good detail that opened my eyes before I made the mistakes. Mission accomplished on a...
