2008 Hydrogen Hybrid. It's been sitting for a couple of days while I had to repair the door panel. When I went to restart, it makes a funky whop whop sound, smells of fuel and dies. The video below kinda shows what's happening. I suspect it's a 12v issue, so I detached the 12v and I'll...
I bought a [cheap?] Android head unit to replace the OEM stereo in my 2008 Bose Tahoe. Everything seems to be working fine, except the audio really sucks. I think I'm supposed to get some sort of Bose adapter, but IDK what to get and where to patch it in. Any ideas? I can post pics later if...
My transmission has lasted 300,000 miles so far. I've replace my engine once at about 180,000 miles because of the AFM. Replaced the hybrid battery twice. Rebuild from Greenbean Battery lasted longer than the new OEM. I'm now experiencing multiple issues with the electronics onboard and it's...
I just picked up a nice 2019 Suburban LT. I noticed that the HD stations only pick up HD1 and HD2. I know there are stations that offer HD3 & 4. My 2013 Lincoln gets all the HD stations. Why would my 2019 Suburban be limited to 2?
On another question, this is probably pretty irrelevant...
Alright - Wow. This Tahoe has been out of commission now for three months!! It's been sitting with my transmission guy for about 6 weeks now. For the first part of that, he was out with Covid. Hit him hard! He's back at work, though.
So, a recap of what's going on:
Back in Jan/Feb of this...
I replaced the temperature sensor and it didn't do anything at all. Old one was dusty but it spun well.
The blend doors all work - just don't do what they are commanded to do. It can blow hot on Driver only, but when I shut down and restart the Sub, it goes back to blowing cold air. Note...
I have an 04 Suburban LT with the digital AC control unit. My vehicle will often start with all air blowing cold. Sometimes - not all the time - the driver's side will turn to hot. I've replaced the blend door actuator several times - from OEM to cheap. Same problem repeats itself. Would...
Thanks for all your details - and you're right. The Scanner was the mechanic's and he's $140 long gone. Surprised he actually charged me (especially because he said if he knew it was a hybrid he wouldn't come out, but I clearly told him it was), but I digress. I have a jumping battery that...
I'm going to close this thread because I found the BCU fuse issue. Started a new thread with the TECH readouts. I guess I can't close the thread, but let's reconvene on the new thread. :) Thanks!
This is an offshoot of another thread I started thinking I bricked my Tahoe after putting in an aftermarket radio. I since realized that I blew my BCU fuse. Replaced it and it started fine, but then redlines and dies. I've paid two mechanics to come out (because I can't take it anywhere) and...
Mechanic just told me he can't make it back 'til Friday. Blech. Yeah - I can clear the codes and start it again with my little OBDII, but I'm a bit scared.
Truck has 300,000 miles on it. But replacements are $$$
