Just purchased new 2024 Tahoe - USB Issue

I had the same problem with my 2021 Tahoe and discovered that it only recognizes .mp3 files, and not .wma files.

    Browse USB music while driving?

If we could get our meat hooks on a schematic that shows whatever switches send the message to the main unit about seat occupation and seatbelt contact, we should be able to access the wiring harness under the seat and bypass those switches to accomplish the message to the CPU that YOUR...

    Browse USB music while driving?

I still think someone with better smarts than I could figure out which wires to bypass on the passenger seat to make the system think there's a passenger in the seat, and then disable the seat belt sensor and airbag sensor to totally fool the darned system....and their lawyers. And then they...

OTA Update on 2021 Yukon Denali seems to have bricked my truck

Here's another. I was out of town for nine days and the hoe was in the garage, locked. Returned Saturday and the battery was dead. My voltmeter said it had 3.6 volts on board. Called roadside assist, they jump started it, ran it for 40 minutes, and put back in garage. Sunday morning no...

    That annoying horn chirp.

No, we have not. New battery in fob did nothing. The dealer can't fix it because I've been unable to get it to act up while at the dealer. As mentioned before, my wife's '22 Buick Enclave is doing it now too. Both vehicles are very intermittent.

Chad, that reminds me of a girl I knew in college.

    That annoying horn chirp.

We've already seen the aftermarket fix for the start/stop function. I hope someone comes up with an incredibly profitable reprogramming fix for these vehicles that allows us to kill some of these alerts/alarms as well as allowing us to select music from our USB drives while driving alone. I...

    That annoying horn chirp.

I'm pretty sure that one fix would be to introduce 12,000 volts to the auxilliary outlet in the console, but I don't think the warranty would cover the ensuing fire. Then again.........

    That annoying horn chirp.

Once again, this problem is intermittent and unpredictable. According to the manual the three chirps occur if 1) the car is running and the fob is moved outside the car and the doors are closed, 2) the fob is left inside the car when not running and the doors are closed, 3) the car is tampered...

    That annoying horn chirp.

The fob is always in my pocket. In fact every time I go to the garage, such as to take out the trash, the car spools up, projecting the logo on the garage floor in the rear and, I assume, pressurizing the fuel system.

    That annoying horn chirp.

I believe it. I had mine into the dealer today for an oil change and a couple of other small warranty items. The dang car decided not to act up today. If it doesn't show the symptoms the techs can't fix it. My wife's 2022 Buick Enclave is now doing this too, at random times and random...

Seriously, if there was another remote shouldn't it chirp EVERY time I close the door? There is no explanation that would account for how this thing behaves. I was hoping that someone else also has this problem and has fixed it.

    That annoying horn chirp.

What are you doing, Dave? Bought gas this afternoon and you'll never guess what it did after I got back in the car and closed the door. I'm going in for a couple of minor warranty fixes in the next week or so and while I'm there I'm going to suggest they first experience this disorder, then...

    That annoying horn chirp.

Well, I think that's correct. I have disabled the setting to chirp when fob is left in vehicle, but when I open the door after turning off the vehicle, before I have a chance to get out I get a warning on the DIC along with the chime that the fob is left in vehicle. I did not get out, as per...

    That annoying horn chirp.

I hope that's a malfunction otherwise that would indicate that GM allows this thing to chirp even when someone is sitting in the driver seat. I have assumed that something like the seatbelt sensor would tell the control module that it's OK that the fob is in the car because a driver is in there...
