To be clear there is a lead from the camera housing about 18 inches long maybe. then this part number will get you from the lead to the line for the rear wiper washer. If you watch the videos I think I talk about how I got the lead from a used assembly off ebay.
I just found some clips on amazon but they weren't perfect replacements. I did try to separate the connectors but I couldn't tell that I could do it without breaking something. I may go back and look at it again. I still have all the stuff I didn't use.
Ideally someone could reprogram the computer to accept the lower voltage of the LED's and they would be plug and play but to my knowledge the new electrical architecture is encrypted and there has been very limited success in being able to do that. I haven't looked in a while but I think I've...
What size resistor did you use? That could be why you needed two. I tested one on each side and it was too much. There is a video on YouTube of a guy placing resistors behind the tail lamps but they looked smaller than the ones I tested.
Since the reverse bulbs are both on the same circuit that could be done with a single jumper and single resistor installed on either side. I would think they would make that for you at a lower price.
Those are the connectors and I have a guess on the 2 pin but I'm not 100%. The Yukons have brake lights that extended into the liftgate. I believe the 2 pin may be where the wiring to trigger those brake lights connect but it's only a guess. I have the empty 2 pin as well.
I would just call the number on the website. I don't know what the holdup is on getting the listing on the site. He's told me multiple times he would have it up in a few days and so far he hasn't gotten it up there yet. But he did tell me he's already sold a set to somebody else based on them...
I don't remember how long it was in reverse but the Yukon lights are full LED. The issue is programming. The Yukons are meant to have LED so the computer looks for appropriate voltages. The Tahoe's are meant to have incandescent bulbs so the computer looks for that appropriate voltage. The ideal...
I can't remember where I found it but I believe operating temperature on these resistors is up to 315 degrees. The heat of the resistors was the whole point of the idea to locate them under the bumper. The 230 degree reading was with the vehicle sitting in reverse with the parking brake set so...
