    Some motors just fit together tighter than others. give it a few thousand miles to wear into itself andloosen up a bit. I had an 06 ranger off the showroom floor and after 8000 miles, it started getting better and better milage. maybe thats all it needs?

    I just went for a drive and it seemed to cahhet and chirp more than yesterday. A/C blows COLD! I've read about the possibility of the compresser being on its way out. Would rather not throw money at parts not needed.

    Look up the codes and see if there are any that say denali package specificaly. You could also go to a dealership that you know has a denali and snap a picture of the rpo codes in the glove box and take that and decipher it at home so you know what code means what.

    Found a few threads on other boards and you are both right. NOT a direct swap, or even an easy one. Temp sensors, new air ducts, wireing and blower motors... It IS possible, but not likely worth the time, effort or money.

    I didn't see an area for towing focused suspension, so I'll put this in general. Mods please move accordingly if needed. If I were to replace the 5.3/60E with a 6.0/80E along with the rear, t-case and front diff, would the 2500 springs work from a truck in the tahoe? Just thinking out loud...

    Just for grins and poopies, I looked up all the RPO codes for my Tahoe the other day and noticed that one of them was L59. As far as I could learn this was flex fuel 5.3, BUT there is no badging or labels around the fuel door to reflect that I can infact run E85. I don't plan on running it...
