    I haven't done much with it, I did order the parts new (I didn't trust the ones at LKQ) and have them in the garage to install. I have the time, the tools, and the effort to it but I just haven't done it.

    I was just looking on LKQ, they have a couple Escalade's in stock that have a good rear glass and 3rd brake light.     I’ve been looking at GMT900 Avalanche/Escalade EXTs for my wife recently. Going out to the beach, I realized I "need" a designated beach truck. Since we own a trailer near the beach, and vacuuming up sand in the Suburban is annoying, I think it would be good to have my wife's EXT at the beach...

    Sorry for the late response, I was on vacation. I've been thinking on this and honestly, I've decided that if I swap the glass and 3rd light, almost everyone wouldn't notice that it's a Tahoe hatch. Plus, I should leave some parts stock just to say "This is factory, everything else isn't".

    One observation I made was that an Escalade rear glass is straight, and my Tahoe has a dip in it for the 3rd brake light. But its got a similar shape, if not the same. I'll see if my parts guy has the 05 Escalade still, I doubt it but I'll shoot him an E-mail and see what he says about it.

    I want a Platinum Hatch because I don’t want to add the badge. I used the factory power seat plug, and then hardwired the AC and heat. It’s the factory panel, but I wired it up differently. I think there is a better way, this is how I did it.

    I’ve taken the project on, its been pretty hard. I started with a base model, only option selected was the hatch instead of doors. 4.8 to 5.3 wasn’t hard.
