Tighten your steering gear box 1/4" at a time and test. Do not tighten too much or you'll be installing a new gear box....which is probably what it needs anyway. -

Emergency brake adjustment , 96 Yukon
Adjust your drum shoes first, you want them a notch or two below "too tight". Then check your parking brake, it should be firm again.- Spikedmax
