    Losing coolant

Thanks @mattbta ... that's exactly what I did using a similar auto parts chain here in Canada. Slapped it on to the reservoir, pumped to 10 psi, and the leak clearly revealed itself. Turns out it was one of the metal rear heater lines that was rubbing against a wire loom and developed a...

    Losing coolant

Did a bit more research and it appears as though that rubber "L" shaped tube is the evaporator drain tube ... guess that doesn't explain where my coolant is going. #stumped

    Losing coolant

My '06 Escalade is losing coolant and I'm not 100% sure where it's going. Noticed the coolant reservoir was almost empty, then noticed a pool of liquid on the garage floor that felt slippery to the touch ... definitely coolant. Didn't initially pay any attention to the wetness on the floor...

    Deleting Z55 - 2006 Escalade

Going well ... no issues with the installed parts. 4600's might be a bit soft, but vehicle is used as a passenger truck with no towing (currently), so it works for me.

Wheel spacers ... what's the minimum number of turns on the lugs?

After some additional research, the GM wheel studs have a M14 x 1.5 mm pitch to them, which means each "turn" would travel 1.5mm. The studs are 12mm in diameter (0.5"), so the minimum number of turns to be NHRA/IHRA legal would be 8 (8 * 1.5 = 12). As stated in my OP, with the spacers...

Wheel spacers ... what's the minimum number of turns on the lugs?

Thanks @gooffeyguy ... this is definitely useful information. I'll slap the spacers on and measure them out with the wheel installed. Thanks!

Wheel spacers ... what's the minimum number of turns on the lugs?

No, I didn't need to since it wasn't the bump that was rubbing on the wheel. It was the bottom of the caliper edge, not the raised bump, that was causing the interference.

Wheel spacers ... what's the minimum number of turns on the lugs?

I have an 06 Escalade AWD and I'm running a set of 2018 Escalade OEM 22's (285/45R22) ... I've also upgraded the front brakes to the 2020 Silverado calipers. My challenge is that the front calipers rub the newer gen wheels, so I ordered some 12mm spacers to fix the rub. The fronts work great...

    Deleting Z55 - 2006 Escalade

Not sure it's mandatory, but the factory springs are apparently too soft with the replacement shocks, so the Bilstein kit I bought includes rear springs. With the new shocks/springs, the front/rear static ride height is pretty even ... maybe a touch higher in the rear, but not sure if that will...

    Deleting Z55 - 2006 Escalade

Hey @outoforder ... I didn't look at other options besides the Bilsteins. I've installed them now, both fronts and rears (with rear springs) ... haven't put a lot of miles on them yet, but so far, they feel good. The stock air suspension was totally blown. I think I've solved the "Service...

    Deleting Z55 - 2006 Escalade

Recently picked up an '06 Escalade and the suspension is shot ... dash warning message (service ride control) and verified on the scanner. So I'm going to replace all 4 corners with Bilstein 4600's and new Bilstein springs for the rear. Has anyone successfully DIY'd an electronic bypass? I've...

    Problem with rear heat

Forgot to mention ... I can manually move the hot/cold blend door tab and it does alter the air coming out of the vents, so the actual blend door is intact.

    Problem with rear heat

I've searched and read through the various posts here and I still can't get my rear heat working 100% Situation I have is that I can't change from cold to hot ... it's always cold. I can change the fan speed (ceiling left hand knob) and I can change the blend direction from floor to ceiling...
