I have an iSimple unit on my 04. It works, but it can be buggy occasionally. Remember you have to have some sort of peripheral ( Sirius/XM, RSE, console tape/CD) input on the OEM head unit for any of them to work unless you have a service center activate an input on it.
I know the seller. He wheels, and deals parts vehicles all the time. I've bought small stuff from him before, and he has always been fair. Idk I've been thinking about in and while a 6.0/4L80 swap sounds good on paper you've got to remember this is a 12 year old Ohio truck. The frame, suspension...
Basically just like the title says. Looking for recomendations on remanufactured cylinder heads for my 2004 flex fuel 5.3ltr. It's got 252k on the rest of the drivetrain so really I'm just looking to go with a stock level replacement being it's a 12 year old Ohio vehicle. Been looking on eBay...
I drilled a hole in the lower control arm where the jounce contacts the arm, and stacked stainless fender washers as close to the size of the jounce as I could find, and a stainless carrige bolt to secure them. It was actually really easy to drill through the arm. I think it took me like 30 min...
What's your year? When I researched block heaters for my 04 I found that they where pretty much non existent due to the fact the ECM compares the coolant temp, and the intake air temp at start up, and will supposedly set a CEL if there are enough consecutive key cycles at ambient air temps above...
I'd say either forget it, or sell, and buy one with the option. I'm betting it'll cost way more than what it's worth to try to add it. You've got quite a bit to install to get it. Plus like you said all the wiring for the controls in the overhead plus in the center console. Not to mention the...
Yeah I've never seen anything telling me what tire it is either, but the next time it does it I'll check. On that note I actually had a broken TPS. It would read when stationary, but wouldn't when moving. I took it into the tire shop, and they replaced it free of charge. However I still...
i just did this to mine. My clutch failed, and destroyed the mounting spot for the pulley, and what not. So basically no internal system damage. The compressor, accumulator, and orifice tube where right around $250 off Amazon. I used a Denso compressor which came with the proper amount of oil...
I just had my AC recharged after a compressor replacement, and the shop who did my freon work (I did the compressor myself) told me that I should replace my fan clutch. He said it would help considerably at low speeds with AC cooling. I don't have any overheating issues, but at low speeds, or...
Something to really consider. I've noticed if I get my tires over inflated by just the smallest amount it gets squirrelly. My only conclusion is it's the tread blocks in the center flexing due to the tire being slightly crowned over. I'm sure this largely has to do with the type of, and tread...
