    Spark plugs

Spark Plugs do not wear out with time only miles, same for the wires. Save the money and change them together in another 50,000 miles. I have a 2016 also with 101,000 and I just changed my plugs and wires and I believe I could have gone another 40,000 miles easy. And the rear plug on the...

Coolant overheating 2019 Tahoe - SOLVED

Sounds like a bad thermostat. Just did mine about 4 months ago. Same issues.

    AFM DFM Conundrum

I installed a Range disabler in my 2016 Yukon with 50,000 miles when I purchased it in 2019. I figure if the lifters don't get to collapse they won't be able to get stuck collapsed. A little over 105,000 and zero issues. And fuel economy is not compromised at all. There is no good argument not...

    AC intermittently stops working

Check your condenser in front of your radiator for excessive debris and clean it if necessary. If it's too dirty it will create too high of refrigerant pressure causing the system to shut down.

    Starting issues

First check your battery voltage (a fully charged healthy battery is 12.6 - 12.8 volts) 12.3 and less is considered extremely low state of charge. Even with a technically dead battery the functions you mention would still run, just not enough power for the starter motor. If your battery is older...

    Transmission Temps??

I kept the newest trans fluid thermostat from GM (154 degrees) and added a Mishimoto transmission cooler and now don't see temps over 165 even towing a 24" tritoon to Lake Havasu, AZ in 115 degree summer.

HELP—2018 Yukon rear pads/rotors DESTROYED after dealer rotation

I can pretty much assure you at 92,000 miles these are not the original front brake pads. I am at 97,000 miles on my Yukon and have just started my 3rd front set and second rear set. Just because they are GM pads does not mean they are the original pads. Everything you have mentioned is totally...

    ISO SoCal DOD Delete Shops

I doubt you'll find a reputable shop to do it in California because of C.A.R.B. smog laws. Your best bet is a Range disabler in California. And even then it can sometimes be tricky ordering the device for delivery in California. But it is doable.

    California and Catalytic Converters

First thing I would do at that mileage is replace the downstream O2s with OEM new and erase the code and see what happens after a couple of hundred miles. Purchasing CARB approved Cats will cost a staggering amount of money compared to Fed Cats. In California and any other states stupid enough...

Considering how GM screwed us with the oil, what about the ATF?

3 years ago GM revised the transmission thermostat temperature from the 176 degree one to 154 degree (TSB GM # 21-NA-199) . I changed to the new thermostat (less than $60) and added a Mishimoto trans cooler and my trans temp rarely gets to 170 even towing in Arizona summer heat.

2018 6.2L Denali not coming up to temperature

Thermostat is the issue and replacing is the remedy. I just had the exact problem and changed mine. Mine would eventually come to temp and then drop back to 185 and stay for a while then rise and drop again. Luckily it's a simple replacement.

    Transmission question.

I installed the lower temp trans thermostat and a Mishimoto trans cooler and my trans temperature never exceeds 170 degrees (most of the time it runs 154) even while towing a 24 ft tritoon in Arizona 115 degree heat.

Do yall use regular or mid grade gas in the 5.3?

I took a work trip to Philadelphia from California. I ran premium all the way there because the way they reimbursed me was to double my cost coming out. On the way home I ran regular and got no difference in mileage at all , also made a little extra money. If a vehicle doesn't "require" premium...
