Damn! My daughter's grandfather (ex's dad) was quoted almost $300 to swap out a belt tensioner and an idler pulley on his 2013 Silverado. I told him I'd do it for a case of Yuengling. I had the job done in 15 minutes.
Perfect example of how it behooves us to learn how to fix our own ****.
That you, George? Welcome! A lot of great info here. -Joel
What are prices looking like in Cali? I bought my 2013 PPV (retired Springdale, Arkansas vehicle) with 125k miles on it for $9k. It is super clean. There are a few dealers in the southeast that regularly stock police vehicles at...
I just put some from American Trucks on my wife's Tahoe. I bought from them years ago for new headlamp housings for my F-150 and they held up great. They were Depo brand, if I remember correctly. The ones I bought for my wife aren't the same brand so, not sure if they'll hold up as well...
My 2013 5.3 LMG slaps like a pimp on a cold start up. It's funny though because when it's REALLY cold, it doesn't do it. Seems like when the ambient temp is 45-50+ overnight and I start up in the morning it'll slap until a little heat gets into the motor. Usually only takes 5-10 seconds at...
My PPV brights don't work in the "flash" function when you pull back on the stalk. They do work when I push the stalk forward to turn the high beams on. Is that what you're experiencing, OP?
Nice looking truck! Another silver 2013 PPV owner here. Mine was a Springdale, Arkansas patrol rig. Also have a 2011 Tahoe Z71 that is my wife's daily.
I have a 2013 PPV that I had tuned recently and it's pretty quick for a 5k pound elephant. The speed limiter was set to 99 when my tuner looked at everything. He removed that and did some other stuff like bump the timing a little, firmed up the transmission, disabled AFM, etc. It's a hell of...
That's awesome! My aunt lived in Wells and was the superintendent of schools there until the early 90's. We have a lake cottage up halfway between Augusta and Belfast.
Nah, it's intermittent although it seems like it happens more when turning. I am going to address it when I get home. Out of the CONUS until Friday. It'll go several days without happening and then it will do it two or three times in a 10 mile round trip. It's very odd.
