Following up on my outcome in case anyone else has the same problem down the road. I have been confused by some of the comments on how to fix my issues and I have finally realized there are two latches and two cables on each seat. It sounds like most people are having issues with the latch... -

Thanks for the response. Looking closer I can confirm the cable snapped. It looks like same type of cable that is used for a bike break. I assume I can unbolt the seat from the floor and rock it forward to get to the cable and latch? Thanks, Ron -

This happened to my Yukon the other day. How difficult is it to replace the cable under the seat? Do you know the part number to get a new one? Thanks, Ron
