    2015-2019 5.3 any good?

I am in the market for a used Tahoe. I currently own a 2004 Tahoe with 220k miles. No problems, but want to upgrade. I have heard so many people complain about the DOD/AFM and a/c issues with the newer Tahoe's. Are they even close to being as reliable as the 2001-2006 5.3 Tahoe's?

    DOD problems solved?

Thanks, I'm looking. I passed on a 2016 Police package that needed an engine. Should have bought it. Price was right.

    DOD problems solved?

I may be able to swing an 18, but I'm waiting in the end if the year sales.

    DOD problems solved?

Hi folks, I'm in the market for a newer Tahoe/Yukon. Did GM ever solve the DoD issue, if so what year did the problem stop? Thanks I currently have a 2004 Tahoe with 220K miles. No problems, just think it's time for something a bit newer maybe 2015-2018. If the DOD problem has been solved.

Towing 900 miles one way (x2)

I don't think I'll be able to go uhaul. The Explorer is a beast, it's 100 lbs heavier than the Tahoe. U-haul will probably say no to that. Going to look for a local rental place or private owner to rent from.

Towing 900 miles one way (x2)

I can swing an adjustable ball mount, but probably not the bags right now. I'm upgrading the tires so money is kinda short. I'm thinking about renting a lighter aluminum trailer with e brakes instead of the uhaul with the surge brakes so I can use a weight distribution hitch as well.

Towing 900 miles one way (x2)

I have a 2004 Tahoe RPO codes GT4, G80. So I think that means I have the 3.73 rear end. I have to two my mom's 2002 Explorer to Chicago from Dallas. Going to rent a u-haul trailer. This is a long tow. I have the tow package, but this rig has never towed anything. I've always kept up on my fluid...
