Just finished trouble shooting my 99 tahoe with same symptoms. Mine was just the same as yours and no codes detected. my MAF was the culprit. My LTFT and STFT numbers were below -10%. I was told numbers should be no higher than +10% and no lower than -10%. Runs great now.

Just replaced my starter solenoid on my 99 'hoe. Now when starting I have a grinding noise that I did not have before. There were no shims on the starter when I removed it. Anyone else ever encounter this? Anyone have a solution?
I have the poppet on number 1 stuck shut. I was going to have the whole injection system cleaned by a shop near me. Any opinions on this vs. replacement. My thinking is, if I'm going to remove that cover to get to the spider, I'm going to switch over to the mfi system and that costs $300 more...
