in addition to suspension + steering rack, most of the front end is new with TTX tie rod ends + lower ball joints. New CV axels too. Michelin LTX Defenders are less than 10k miles and rotated rebalanced recently in X pattern. This Tahoe gets a lot of love :)
Thanks. Tires are good at 32. Alignment was all green but I can post the details. Its straight as can be road testing it. Issue is only on highway uneven roads. Not sure what you are asking about suspension.
Got a 2012 Tahoe LT w/105k miles. New suspension, steering rack and heavy duty steel sway bars. Michelin LTX freshly aligned. Truck is straight as an arrow in town and handles great. On the highway it is a different story. If the road is not perfectly smooth road the steering is too sensitive...
Related but found the issue. I've got long tubes on it and the very back tube is hitting the firewall. The new mounts raised the motor and now not enough clearance at speed.
What do folks with headers use for motor mounts? I see some folks use H3 mounts wonder if those will clear.
The noise was introduced after the motor mounts. Have not checked the wheel hubs but the wheels were not removed during install. Will check it out.
All new suspension about 6 months ago and it was smooth all the way to 6K+ rpm without any rattling noises.
New cv axles about a year ago around...
2012 4wd LT 105k miles. Just did both motor mounts and trans mount (GM OEM). When accelerating hard there is a rattling noise usually after 3k RPM. Thought it was a bad motor mount so swapped out with another new one but noise still there.
Seems to happen mostly from a stop or low gears. Any...
well even with the VIN it is not specific enough and shows too many options. ended up calling them and they gave me the part numbers. But rear coils have been discontinued so looking for the next best setup.
Well reading up on ZW7 means some sort of auto leveling non electronic suspension. Dont really want that and the OEM coil 22811851 is discontinued anyways. So now just looking for closest thing available that would work in the rear. I dont tow or ever use the 3rd row. Mostly just 2 adults 2...
Howdy,
I want to go back to smooth OEM suspension. I've got a 4WD LT so it runs belltech strut drop up front and belltech coil/shock drop in the rear.
Can someone please post the OEM strut/shock/coil part numbers? I see ZW7 listed on my glove box if that helps.
