The service manager told me these difs are not easily serviceable and they would need to purchase special tools to work on it. He said it would be cheaper to just replace the whole unit than it would be to buy the tools and then repair whatever is wrong. The paperwork says it was the front...- R32driver

Picked it up today and all is well. Annoying howl noise is gone! They replaced the rear dif and either ate the cost or worked something out with GM. They said it was about a $4500 repair and asked me to pay $500 which I gladly did. Class act all around I definitely will be buying my next GM...- R32driver

No and it's not the dealership I bought it at either. Just the local Chevy dealership in the small town I live in. It's been serviced there a handful of times but they earned a customer for life after this. Fantastic people. Hinton Chevrolet in Lynden, WA- R32driver

Bought it brand new in summer of '21 with 3 miles and here we are on warranty repair number 5 on this beauty This time it's the rear differential. Suggestions for quiet aggressive looking tread tires
Nitto Ridge Grapplers...absolutely fantastic tire IMO no need to look for anything else. They look great, ride smooth and quiet and have good traction in all conditions. On our 2nd set, got 50K miles out of the 1st set. These are the same size as the stock tires and with the 5.3 our XL averages... -
Yukon, SLT vs Denali ride quality?
We have an slt with the basic suspension no mag ride or air and it's by far the smoothest vehicle I've ever rode in. Never been in a new model with either of the fancy suspensions so I guess I don't know what I'm missing out on but I won't have to worry about much going wrong with the suspension...- R32driver

5.3 Guys, opinion on oil change intervals
This has been argued both ways a million times over and there's sound argument for both sides. I just change it annually because to me it's cheap peace of mind. I use synthetic liquimoly on my german cars and it usually comes out looking about the same as it does going in. Waste of time and...- R32driver

I've been going with 5K mile oil changes for 20 years now give or take and I've never had an engine problem on any car I've owned. Some of my cars I just do annually because they never get close to 5K miles put on in a year- R32driver

Humming noise when tightly turning steering wheel, only during cold start and go?
Stopped in at my local dealership service department (small place in a small town) and they said they’ve not yet seen that tsb and the rear dif fluid is indeed on back order. Said they will call when it arrives- R32driver

Humming noise when tightly turning steering wheel, only during cold start and go?
I’ve just recently started hearing a strange noise coming from the rear only when the vehicle first comes out of the garage. This must be what I’m hearing. I guess it’s time for warranty visit number 4 to the dealer- R32driver
