    Broken Motor Mounts

Funny, I have a 2009 4wd tahoe and somehow dodged that whole nightmare TWICE having replaced a broken mount on my 5.3 then swapped the engine to a 6.2. It's much simpler with the wheel off and the fender liner removed.

    Rear wheel bearing, replace axle?

Make sure to examine the axle carefully. If it's damaged look into something called a "green" bearing that moves the load point on the axle.

    2008 Suburban Engine Swap - 6.0 to 6.2

Well congrats on getting rid of the practice wife. Now you can start fresh and do more planning knowing what you're up against.

    OEM backup camera wiring

I don't know. I just ordered a rear view camera mirror that mounts like OEM on the windshield. It's an inch smaller than stock but gives me dash cam functionality as well as better rear view. The descriptions I found are a little sparse so this is going to be a trial. I think it changes the zoom...

    OEM backup camera wiring

    Cameras not mirrors above.

    OEM backup camera wiring

Having driven a number of vehicles with backup cameras I wouldn't bother with the stock camera. There are so many aftermarket mirrors with much better resolution and more features including zoom.

Yet another Yukon with engine tick and low oil pressure

The O-ring in question is on the oil pump pickup tube. When it leaks it lets air into the oil pump which makes your oil pressure unstable at best. If the o-ring fails completely I think (someone check me on this) it can go into the oil pump with its close tolerances. At the very least I think...

In what situations have you used 4L/4Low?

Used 4lo today pulling 2 1/2 tons of gravel around my hilly yard.

Loose steering, I’ve searched, googled replaced front end parts and multiple steering gears

Might be time to revisit the front wheel bearings and pull off the brakes before checking for play in case they're holding things.

My '02 Tahoe L59 revs WAY too high on cold start ups. Anyone got any ideas?

I used to use an unlit propane torch tip around connections that could leak air. Make sure to take a good look at vacuum hoses for cracks or disconnected hoses. Propane will cause a momentary jump in rpms even with a warm engine.

Adding an aftermarket radio to 07-14 FAQ

I was just looking back through this thread and didn't see the picture of the jumped wires. The wires are in the tailgate at the rear wiper. The red wire is my jumper.

Yet another Yukon with engine tick and low oil pressure

I didn't see any mention yet of the oil pump pickup o-ring. Those dry out and crumble causing loss of oil to the pump. Hard to get to though.

Sealing up the oil cooler block-off plate once and for all?

I used a bullet plate that provided a passage between the hole for the lines. I figure it mimics having a cooler. Mine had a silicone gasket attached to the plate. I don't think mine is leaking but I should probably take a fresh look at it.

In what situations have you used 4L/4Low?

I live on a lake with a steep grassy back yard. I use 4 low going up and down with a utility trailer when I wat to haul dirt or rock down and for dock maintenance. 4 high would work but tends to want to spin the tires when the tc hits. It also inspires more confidence dodging trees on the hill...
