    Disable Daylight Running Lights (DRL)

This will work as well, but note that fuse #15 is not a dedicated fuse for DRL. Removing is will also disable other functionality. For me it was most notably the dash lights. The mod described here not much harder or time consuming than pulling fuse 15.

Sunlitcomet is correct in regards to the same color and location on a 1998 Tahoe. I have to pics that I will post later today that might help.

    Disable Daylight Running Lights (DRL)

I did just run across this on another forum: Posted on Diesel Place .com by go-dwr: Here is some info I got off another site for the resistor method I used. I have read several posts asking for information on how to disable the twilight (auto on) feature on the headlights of 99 FSCs. I...

    Disable Daylight Running Lights (DRL)

I am pretty sure this will do it. This is the path that allows the system to turn on the lights via the DRL relay. I have heard that pulling the fuse works for some vehicles, although I don't feel it is isolated enough. GM/Chevy did not make it easy to disable the DRL feature due it being...

    Disable Daylight Running Lights (DRL)

Can you explain to me what the twilight function is? The shop manual I have is very specific to a 1998 Tahoe, but if this feature was available in 98 I might be able to verify it affect.

    Fan shroud for electric fans

Work, then the lack of work got in the way. I have fans, just need to get in touch with my metal fab guy to see if he can still make some the these. I don't have a brake so I can't bend them myself. ---------- Post added at 10:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:54 PM ----------...

    Disable Daylight Running Lights (DRL)

This could very well apply to any GM vehicle using the same DRL Module 42767. I have messed with this problem for a while. Everyone has there method, and I found most of them are stop gap measures that really cause other issues. If you pull the DRL relay then other intrument features...

    Fan shroud for electric fans

Yes on the seal. I designed it so that the fans would produce optimum flow through the radiator. I should have the first one made in about a week and I will post pics of it in the raw. I am going to weld up the seams just to keep it tight. It has an open hem on the botton to hook on a...

    Fan shroud for electric fans

My measurements show 32.8. What are you measuring off of? This is on a 98 tahoe with an over sized radiator. I am going to have a single one made and install it in my truck. It will take about 1-2 weeks. I will post picks when I get it, and as I install it. I can not seem to get a good...

    Fan shroud for electric fans

To all who are interested. I have designed a fan shroud that will hold 1 or 2 fans for my 98 tahoe. The shroud will cover the entire rear of the radiator to maximize the airflow of the fans. They will come blank meaning you cut the size/position of the hole(s) for your fan(s). I have a guy...

lower ball joint on a 4x4...welded in?

I have a 98 and replaced upper and lower ball joints. No welds. The lowers can be pressed out with a screw type joint press. The only way I could get them back in was to cut a metal pipe that rested on the outside of the joint lip and pound them in with a 4lb sledge. I did not remove the...
