Denali AWD to 2 speed 4wd Transfer Case Swap.

Thought I would post a bit about my AWD to 4WD conversion on my 2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali. I like the AWD for snow driving, traction, etc., but wanted selectable 4 LO and being able to have 2WD for a little more daily, highway efficiency and donuts One other major downside of the AWD tcase is...

08 denali awd wont move, diff fluid on the driveway

Thanks! I thought it might be something like that, but I couldn't/ still don’t quite understand how something like a broken cv would have a different result than a front tire in the air which doesn’t (I didn’t think) result in nothing going to the rear even if traction control is off and no...

The frame ends are different on the Silverado and Tahoe. I oringally modified a Sierra bumper for mine because there wasn't anything available for the Yukon. That is going to be closer to the Tahoe light/ grill spacing. I had to cut off the frame ends and drill holes and make my own brackets...

    2013 Z71 Suburban for Overlanding - tire/suspension input request

Here's ours. Don't need to do all of this to get out there and enjoy it. I would recommend a 2-2.5" front lift and upper control arms to correct the ball joint angle, a decent rear shock, and I'm a fan of the dobinsons 2" lift springs. I changed to the constant load option with the addition of...

Overlanding - all years. General discussion and pics

The new motor has pros and cons. It's not necessarily the right motor for this rig. I had ordered the more mild cam version in January, but it kept getting pushed out until it was MAYBE going to arrive in June, so I started looking around. I kept it on order to resell it becuase the price had...
