02 Yukon motor tilting down at firewall

I asked here and asked my mechanic - answers were the same - that it is normal. Had motor mounts looked at, too. Seems all is well. However, my guy had to do some truck lift gymnastics to get the exhaust pipe off the frame. Don’t know why it was on the frame or if the two are related but for...

Front End Clunking and Bump Steer (i think).

The folks who have replied know WAY more than I do. But when my 2001 Yukon had the clunking and bumping we finally figured out the exhaust was resting on the frame crossmember. Clever mechanic was able to fix after muffler shop weld failed. No problems since. Easy to see anyway. Good Luck

    Dome light switch HOT

Thanks for the heads up on where to get a bulb!

    Dome light switch HOT

Thank you for your help. I was able to get the ‘hot’ one out. It is an aftermarket POS that doesn’t even have a way to replace a light. The wiring harness has also been changed at some point. I doubt that it is correctly installed. I am quite skeptical that I won’t have more problems with...

    Cluster Issues

when my gauge cluster went dark had to have it replaced but it may be a wiring thing. It seems these babies are very sensitive to aftermarket connections.

    Dome light switch HOT

Well - there doesn’t appear to be a bulb at the switch itself. It is the area right around the dimmer ‘wheel’ that gets hot. Mostly up and to the right. Thanks

    Passenger Side FOOTWELL air leak

The Yukon was returned from the original refurb debacle with the front heater fan incorrectly installed. It was replaced - also incorrectly - so we did it ourselves. Works great now. HOWEVER, there is an air leak under the dash on the passenger side. Don’t know if it was returned from the...

    Dome light switch HOT

I had the cluster replaced on my 2001 YukonXL 2500. When I got back the dome light switch didn’t work. I took it back - they ‘fixed’ the switch. Yes the dimmer works and turns overhead on and off but the switch and surrounding area is HOT to the touch. To the point that I worry about it...

    A heads up for y'all.

Thanks for this post. My 2001 YukonXL 2500 seems to shift weird. MAF was replaced but I have no clue if done correctly. Have a new guy who seems reliable and knows his stuff - will try to get him to check it out.

    That's good to know. Thanks

    Engine tilted down toward firewall

Thank you for your replies - Will check the fan and see what I can on the mounts. Seems to me that being off kilter the way it is would cause excessive wear on the belts. Does NOT look normal to me and like I said - it was very up and down when I replaced the serpentine belt. I am no expert...
