    2002 denali front diff failure/vibration

Update, the other shop rebalanced the drive shafts, they ended up removing weights and adding some others. Seems the first shop didn't do a good job. Either way it's a whole lot better. When I did the big brake upgrade (2023 pads/rotors) I got a newer set of wheels. The tires are new but are...

    2002 denali front diff failure/vibration

Update, I checked all the mounting points and everything is good. Replaced the front diff, driving wise its smoother but I still have the vibration. Ive pulled the front and rear drive shafts, going to take them to a different shop tomorrow (drive line specific). I believe the last place I had...

    2002 denali front diff failure/vibration

thanks for all the replies guys, the fluid is definitely glittery, so I ordered a reman diff from powertrain products. With 170k on the original, it's possible it's at its end. I know when I first got the Yukon it had 150k on it, diff fluid was brown glittery, so I figure it hadn't ever been...

    2002 denali front diff failure/vibration

Forgot to add, the vibration is while rolling, neutral, or in any gear at the higher speed. It kinda drones also, kinda humm, humm, humm. Hope this helps someone decipher this and anyone else in the future

    2002 denali front diff failure/vibration

GM Gurus, I have recently been working to solve a vibration in my 2002 Yukon Denali. Heads up this has been a fun 1. SO, 6 months or so ago I replaced the transmission with a reman from Performabuilt with a FTP torque convertor 2000stall. (just adding this to the history, you will see why soon.)...

2005 Denali XL AWD - How does AWD work?

Mine is a 2002 Denali with the G80. It's AWD but has the NP149 transfer case vs the newer Bosch. Don't know it has the works the same with the silicone coupler vs discs like the Bosch as far as power delivery

2002 fuel trims loss of power after 2 hours

Today I completed the E-fan upgrade Got the harness from ScottyBoy. Works great! went down the road and watched fuel trims, they seem to be around 0 or -1. So Im assuming that my fueling issue may be good now. Going to drive it around for a while and see. Thanks everyone for the input

2002 fuel trims loss of power after 2 hours

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I replace the pump yesterday. Found that who ever did the wiring last time only twisted the wires together and heat shrinker them, no solder or crimps or anything. Anyways I redid the connections with crimps and heat shrink and put it all back together. The new...

2002 fuel trims loss of power after 2 hours

So I sent the logs and pics to Black Bear, they believe it could be a failing fuel pump. Seems to only act up when it's hot/ few hours driving. So this weekend its fuel pump and vac line check time. Ill keep everyone posted on it

2002 fuel trims loss of power after 2 hours

Interesting, just weird that there are no DTCs showing up. I'll dig in and see how the vac lines and check the intake manifold, it does look a little oily on the passenger side. Thanks

2002 fuel trims loss of power after 2 hours

Hey Guys, Need a lil troubleshooting help. I have a stock 2002 Yukon Denali with 170k miles that starts acting stupid only during long road trips. We use this primarily for pulling the boat or camper to the beach our mountains. Usually after a good 2 hours of driving, I get issues with power...

    2002 Tahoe front end whine

Hey Guys, not trying to thread hijack but I have a 2002 Denali, similar whine from the front end. Suspect the front diff, it had wonderful glitterness in the fluid when I changed it (new to me). If I read this correctly, can I find a 4x4 with the same gear ratio front diff and add my AWD portion...

    Make the Tahoe New Again

I would have to agree with all the other guys, alignment and OEM parts. When I got my Yukon, the first thing I did is the entire front end, tie rods, control arms +ball joints, intermediate steering shaft, the works. After all the new parts then the alignment. As far as bumpity bumps,I had an...

Thanks for the info and old thread to reference, since I want to keep my spare, I will just keep stopping every 200 miles. I guess its goes along with my New Years goal to "slow down and enjoy the little things"
