    I was wondering as my 2008 Tahoe ages, it has 235k at this time. Is there a time to replace the electrical parts due to age and life span? I know some will say, “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” or “fix it when it breaks.” I prefer not to be stranded on the side of the road if I can help it...

    I was planning to do that and have done it to other vehicles in the past but it’s easier to swap out a whole unit that pound out u-joints.

    That’s what I was thinking. I’m going to order the Cardone one to dredging up the drivetrain before the rear end gets rebuilt and a new transmission goes in as well. Still cheaper than a new truck. lol.

    Hey everyone, I’m going to be replacing my driveshaft and found these two on rockauto. Both refer to the same oem part number but the yoke to the transmission appear to be different. Can someone tell me the difference in the two styles? The cardone unit looks identical to my current one...

    It’s a relatively easy replacement. Just have to be patient and not crack the trim when removing. Lol I tired to upload a video but it’s too big. Going to replace the switch and see if that fixes it.

    Swapped fuses and nothing. Going to try a new switch as a next step.

    I can read all the other display functions such as TPMS, engine hours, mileage, etc just nothing with the DIC. All the other buttons below the DIC work as they should.

    Yep, nothing displayed. The switch is appears to be functional as it can be pressed in from that stand point.
