Replying to myself. Short version. It failed.
Longer version it took them all day yesterday and half a day today to figure it out. No idea what’s happening the timeline will be. In a loaner Chevy equinox. It’s acceptable transportation. But no comparison.
Oh well.
23 Tahoe. 6.2. Engine failure on the highway last June at about 27k. Now coming up on 47k. Took 5 weeks for the new engine. Has been trouble free since. Going in for the test/engine replacement/warranty extension tomorrow. Honestly, at this point, all I care about is the extended warranty. It’s...
Thanks for the responses. I think we are in a holding pattern. Will let it ride another year. Can’t imagine owning this one out of powertrain warranty.
So
Wife has a 23 premier pretty much loaded with 33k on the clock. Sticker was 78. Bought it May of 23. Had the 6.2 bearing failure and engine replacement in June of 24 with 22k.
New engine has been fine for 11k. Wife loves the car. Drivetrain warranty for 16,000 more miles. Which the way...
It’s the wife’s car. Lot of in town/suburban car pool miles. A few long trips. 3 oil changes. 22k miles in 13 months…I assume she puts 87 in it. I have been known to use the right pedal when I drive it. She loves it. I like it.

Initial event 6/27/24.

I’ll chime in.

Ordered 3/11. At the dealership today. 5/13. It’s the wife’s car. Happy mothers day. Tahoe premier. 6.2 most of the options. Picking it up Tuesday. Eastern Massachusetts. Feels like the old days. Order a car. Get it in 2 months. Ish.
OP here. Long time lag. Things got busy. Thanks to all that responded. Since last post, we finally got serious. Order placed today with a local dealer that seems to think it will get picked up this week. I’m cautiously optimistic.
We had a brief interlude where we drove and almost bought a...
Hello
Wife has a 2015 sequoia. We had been wanting a new sequoia. We waited and waited. And finally went and saw one. But as far as we are concerned. They ruined it. Solid rear axle. Much smaller third row. Doesn’t fit our needs.
The current generation Denali seems like a perfect fit for our...
