    Considering Diesel

I agree that the diesel is an amazing engine. We've put over 5000 km and it drives awesome, has awesome mileage, and just feels great to drive. Nevermind the huge distance you can get with it.

18 vs 20 inch winter tires (21 Tahoe)

18" will have better performance than 22", due to the narrower profile, and will run just fine as long as you don't have the brembo brakes. I have an LS that came with 18" tires, and already purchased some 18" winters for them.

    Denali w/Duramax payload

Note that the build order guide applies to a base model. The Denali's weigh more than the base model so the payload will almost certainly be lower. Here's the order guide for the Denali XL...

    Towing Mirror Recommendations

I e-mailed K Source and they're releasing snap towing mirrors by Nov 2021: "We are currently working on developing S&Z for New 2021 Suburban. Hope to finalize development and bring inventory by or after Nov. 2021. Part number will be 80950." Here's the version for 2015-2020 models...

    Dog challenge

We have a crazy (extremely high energy) Australian Sheperd who I would not trust to ride in a vehicle without being in a crate. So we just put a crate in the back, and the dog goes in the crate. Since he's been traveling in the crate since he was a puppy, he's fine with it. As for your...

    Family with a 9 Seater '21 Suburban

The middle seat is definitely only comfortable for kids with shorter legs. That said, we used it yesterday (had 7 kids in the suburban + 2 adults) and it was pretty comfortable for a short drive.

    Family with a 9 Seater '21 Suburban

Custom factory ordered a '21 Suburban LS Duramax, with 9 seats because why not have 9 seats! Here's a pic with the family. Looking forward to many adventures with the truck! It's awesome so far. We've had it for 1 month and already almost 3000 km on it.

You can now say good bye to auto stop

I can confirm that max AC prevents the start/stop. We've been in a major heat wave here, and the auto start/stop hasn't been happening at all with the A/C on max.

Auto Start/Stop is a Good thing for the Diesel

There's a pushbutton on the left of the steering wheel with some of the other features that can be enabled/disabled.

Large deposit to get larger discount…?

If the rate is really good, there's no reason not to finance for the maximum length of time (1% or better). It's essentially free money that you can otherwise invest. That said, if there are cash incentives that you can't also get while financing, that would often be a better deal.

Auto Start/Stop is a Good thing for the Diesel

Am I in the minority that I don't mind the auto start/stop? For the diesel in particular it seems like a good thing since you get a double benefit with less idling. First, you save on fuel assuming it's at least 15+ seconds. Second, and perhaps more importantly, too much idling of the diesel...

    Towing Mirror Recommendations

Thanks Larry, not sure that I have time to wait it out since time to ship across the border can be pretty long. I'll probably go with one of the ratchet ones, at least for the short term.

    Towing Mirror Recommendations

Thanks Larry. Know where to pick some up in Canada? I live in BC too.

    Towing Mirror Recommendations

Does anyone have recommendations for a towing mirror for the new 2021s? Going to be picking up a travel trailer soon and I'll need something. There's a bunch of aftermarket towing mirrors on amazon, etc. Thanks a bunch!

Recall N212339110 - Airbag Light May Not Indicate Malfunction

I haven't tried it OTA yet. Seeing a few people's issues about being stranded makes me worried for it!
