SOLVED: Need to drop the fuel tank but it is currently 80% full

Thank you everyone for the responses and advice! I ordered some 5 gallon cans and I’m going to go with @TollKeeper suggestion, jumping the fuel pump relay to let the pump do the work.

    HELP - Intermittent Electrical Issues

I also had very similar issues recently and it was the ground strap from the firewall to the rear driver side of the engine block. I ran a new ground from the firewall to the engine block, on the mounting bolts for the alternator. Also ran a new ground from the negative battery terminal to the...

Exhaust Manifold Leak Drivers Clamp Advice

Following this advice, I was finally able to get the clamp on the rear drivers side! It was not fun, but it's done. Disconnecting the front drive shaft and letting it rest on the exhaust worked perfect and it was much easier to disconnect/reconnect than I thought it would be. Big thanks to...

SOLVED: Need to drop the fuel tank but it is currently 80% full

I have been dealing with EVAP issues, exhaust leaks due to broken bolts at the manifold, and other issues I'm trying to address on my 2005 GMC Yukon SLT (4x4, VIN T, Non-Flex) to get it to pass emissions. I replaced the charcoal canister and vent valve and can now fill my tank just fine...

Exhaust Manifold Leak Drivers Clamp Advice

I will definitely be using jack stands! I should’ve worded that differently. I’m new to all of this so I am being very cautions when doing anything under the vehicle. I usually do put my jack stands on the frame right about where you mentioned, behind the front tires on the frame. I see now...

Exhaust Manifold Leak Drivers Clamp Advice

I appreciate the advice. That answers my question. I’m going to jack up the front, put wheel chocks on the rear tires, and drop the drive shaft this morning. Then I’ll give it another shot. I tried to avoid doing this yesterday and ended up just wasting a lot of time. Thanks again!

Exhaust Manifold Leak Drivers Clamp Advice

I know this is old, but I’m struggling this at the moment. My bolt is broken off on the rear drivers side and I’m trying to install the Dorman 917-107 clamp. I’ve never dropped the front drive shaft /driveline. I feel stupid asking, but do all 4 wheels need to be off the ground to do this...

05 Yukon AC Clutch is Stuck

Good advice, thank you. Okay and if the clutch is still engaged when I remove any power to it, then I can pretty much assume it’s damaged/stuck, right? Not to say I don’t also have an electrical issue also, I just want to be sure I’m addressing both if needed.

05 Yukon AC Clutch is Stuck

Disclaimer: I am very new to all of this. I didn’t know how to change my oil and had never changed a tire like 2 months ago. I’ve been lurking here and trying to learn on my own and fix any issues with my Yukon. I’ve been having AC issues and everything tests good but the clutch was not...
