I have a pro comp 6" kit with keys. Because of the keys I had to have 8" of lift in the back to level it out. I also have a 3" body lift. My tires are 38" Toyo's and have no rub at all. Tires are almost out of the wheels wells.
I have 4" pro comp rear leaf springs with a 4" block. In the front I have the Procomp 6" with keys and a ball joint flip cranked to about 8". Then I have a 3" body lift with the bumpers and nerf bars raised. The ball hitch still has a gap but I have just lived with it. I have no tire rub...
They are Toyo Open Country M/T 38x15x16's. It's got 11" of lift. I went ahead and had the ball joints replaced and 4 new shocks when I put the new tires on along with an alignment. I was going to with a bigger tire but they don't make a 40" tire in a 16" rim anymore. I tried a Irok...
I get 10mpg in the city and about 13mpg on the highway. For the way I drive this truck the IFS is fine, the front end has help up pretty good for 240,000 and rebuilding it only twice. But one day I would like to have a SFA under there. The gears and the tune are the next mods that I'm going...
The truck has no motor mods, just the air intake. I still have several things that I need to do to finish up the truck.
• Needs gears - 5.13 (currently has 3.73)
• Needs new carpet and seats recovered
• New Tires (want to go with some wide 40's)
• Tune
The overall truck is in great...
The Tahoe has about 11" of lift total
• 6" Pro Comp lift up front with the torrison bars cranked a little
• ball joint flip
• Pro Comp 4" rear springs
• 4" blocks in the back

• 3" Body lift.
• 38" Mickey Thompson Baja Claws
• 16 x 10 Pro Comp wheels
• 14 Bolt SF...
Yes, I bought it brand new in 1996. I lifted it in 2000 up on 34" tires and it has grown over the years. The truck has 245,000 and runs and drives great.
Here is a few pics of my '96. 6" Pro comp cranked to 8", 4" pro comp rear springs with 4" blocks, and a 3" body lift for a total of 11". I am running 38" Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ's on 16 x 10 wheels.
I have a 1996 2 door Tahoe. The truck has 210,000 miles on it. It is a 350 Vortec. Does anyone know if I there is any benefit to changing out the (4) 02 Sensors because of the high milage on the truck. What is the life span of the o2 sensors?
