SO this is the Tahoe's 3rd trip to the Gulf. 1st trip was 5.3 WITH DoD - averaged around 25 mpg
Last year was 5.3 DoD Delete ( during summer ) averaged right around 20-21 mpg
This year went in March - so winter blend gas and averaged just under 19 mpg
Wasnt today but last weekend concluded a 2000 mile round trip adventure from the Midwest to the Gulf Coast and back. Tahoe did just lovely with the drive and 5 people in it. Still managed to keep the luggage low enough to see out of all the windows
changed oil today, made a giant mess because i wasnt thinking today, and swapped out my other 12 volt outlet in the center console to a USB port so now wifey and I can each have one. goign to be prepping it for travel this week
I dont have experience 1st hand with the Nitto's, though they are a good tire, I am a firm believer in the Wildpeaks. I have them on my tahoe now and they are hands down the best all terrain ive ever driven on...bfg at included in that mix. they are so good in the snow, i rarely even need 4wd...
Way to go Richard....... also to the OP... do option 3. I did it, then Richard took the idea and did a much better write up

Oh good call - i will edit the original and post it here, part number is WAVVT40-10

If you buy it on Amazon...
Wiring Harness Swapped out - so far so good.
Gonna dump some "tech" info for incase anyone else has a P0340 code with a DoD motor.
The P0340 is a circuitry error, so likelihood of the sensor being the issue is low - possible - but low. When looking at MY particular swap, the new LS3 ( i...
