I just got an email response from Carbyte about when they will make a module for the 2025 models. See excerpt copied and pasted from my email below:
"When will a module be released for the 2025 models"
You had it.
It is not a limitation of Carbyte itself, but rather the included and updatable...
You guys are correct. Carbyte got back to me and typed that they "don't support Yukons". I think the Carbyte guy meant 2025 models. Their website states that it fits 2021+ model SUVs and 2022+ model pickup trucks. I'm going to have to process a return now.
Regarding what this mysterious...
I bought a Carbyte module (directly from Carbyte's website) for my '25 Yukon and can't make it work. I opened a support ticket with Carbyte and they're asking for photos of the area behind the OBD plug. They said that some dealerships install a tracker on the wiring harness there that can block...
Thanks everyone. I heard back from my dealer today. He said that the 3rd row should have been included. They will source one tomorrow and ship it to me.
I have second row bucket seats. You make an interesting point about the package prices. I found the price on my window sticker. The dealer claims that it was ordered from GMC at this price from the manufacturer, not a dealer add-on. They are checking to see what's up with the missing 3rd row.
Mine are on the first and second row only and are the all weather type, meaning rubber and no carpet type mat. Are your first and second row more of a floor mat and the third row is rubber?
My 2025 Yukon window sticker shows a $295 manufacturer option for "Premium Floor Liners". The vehicle has them but not for the 3rd row. Is that normal or am I missing the 3rd row liner? I'm going to ask the dealer but don't know if the sales guy will give me an accurate answer. The GMC website...
When I go to order from Summit racing and put in my year/make/model, it shows me part number 13565641 for $72.99. Now when I search the Summit site for just the part number that works for you all 13554821, it shows it for $33.99
Will either one work? My vehicle is a 2025 Yukon XL, which has a...
My opinion is to get the Tahoe or the Yukon. I see young couples have their first baby and put their smaller SUVs up for sale. You’ll start hauling so much bulky baby stuff it’s ridiculous. Possibly throw in a future pet dog and some groceries.
As for resale value, I think the Tahoe and Yukon...
So after reading all 6 pages I have a question regarding oil dilution. Is extended idle time only an issue at cold start up? Meaning, after reaching full operating temperature, can I idle the engine for an extended time without causing oil dilution? I’m in Texas and it gets so hot in the summer...
And if I do smell oil on the dipstick, should I drive it to burn the fuel out of the oil, or should I stop and do an oil change? I understand that this is a DI engine, and that fuel in the oil is a side effect of excessive idle time. I've never owned a DI engine, so I don't know anything more...
Do today’s new engines still need a “break-in” procedure? Or just drive it normally and do the first one or two oil changes early?
I’m interested in what the GM owner manual suggests and also what real world engine builders/mechanics think.
I’ve read some guys say that “taking it easy” for the...
