thank you for this. Yes - the kit includes the individual injector connector. there seems to be a central connection (could that be the sensor you mention?) they say it's in the fuel line where the fuel goes into the engine and that the replacement will be able to sense whether it's ethanol or... -

Thankyou. The oil is fine, looks clear etc. When we changed the oil there was no metal residue, just gunk! I'm pretty careful to check all levels regularly (being old!) I've spoken to a specialist mechanic about 100Kms from me, and he did suggest that the oil pickup tube might be blocked or full...- Easiski

My truck was imported into France brand new, so that probably accounts for the excessive silencing! It's in really brilliant condition but with 337000Kms (210600 miles). Too good to be true considering the price of 6000€ (2nd hand vehicles are really expensive here) - I'm waiting for something... -
