I lost a wheel centre cap on my 2000 Yukon SLE, and they seem to be rarer than hen's teeth! I have found a couple of outlets in the US, but it's not clear if they post to France. Many seem to have very small centres, but mine are 185mm ... 7.2" I think.
Does anyone know a good supplier who...
thank you for this. Yes - the kit includes the individual injector connector. there seems to be a central connection (could that be the sensor you mention?) they say it's in the fuel line where the fuel goes into the engine and that the replacement will be able to sense whether it's ethanol or...
Hello all you kind expert people, I'm buying an ethanol conversion kit for my 2000 Yukon (5.3 V8) and I have to find the 'connector' for the injection system. I can't seem to find any information about where it is! Having climbed into the engine twice and take pix, I'm told I still haven't found...
Thank you all for your help. The specialist has now said he can do it 2nd week of October, so I'm expecting a big bill, but he knows his stuff. It just seems sensible to do it now (timing chain too). As an old lady (72) who lives half way up a mountain and NEEDS the car daily, especially in...
Thankyou. The oil is fine, looks clear etc. When we changed the oil there was no metal residue, just gunk! I'm pretty careful to check all levels regularly (being old!) I've spoken to a specialist mechanic about 100Kms from me, and he did suggest that the oil pickup tube might be blocked or full...
2000 Yukon 5.3 I'll start by saying I have read all the relevant threads, but am a little concerned. I had a loss of oil pressure recently in very hot weather on a long motorway trip (250Kms). I also got a nasty tapping sound from the engine. I had to return home where I put some oil additive...
My truck was imported into France brand new, so that probably accounts for the excessive silencing! It's in really brilliant condition but with 337000Kms (210600 miles). Too good to be true considering the price of 6000€ (2nd hand vehicles are really expensive here) - I'm waiting for something...
the problem is that there's no actual information about how loud you can be. I have a friend with a 31 Ford rod and that's REALLY loud (corvette engine), but it's not a daily driver - mine is. Also, here in the mountains the sound carries more with less ambient noise, so I'm being cautious. I...
