Yes you are correct, I will edit my original post. I have heard about the ECM reading the alcohol % incorrectly resulting in drivability issues. Let me do a little research and see what's available for the GMT900.- dwinters14

No worries man! I appreciate your input on the output shaft and trans info which definitely points me in the right direction. I'm going to do my homework on the T-cases and trans compatibility and see what makes the most sense. I'm hoping I'd just need a custom input shaft with the right splines...- dwinters14

He was on Powerstroke tv I think as well where they did another AWD conversion on a Silverado. This video only centers on the transfer case and changing the input shaft. I don't believe he talks about the 4L80 and what's been done to it.- dwinters14

Okay this leaves me with a couple of questions. The 4L60E AWD transfer case from the GMT800 is the NV149, which should bolt up to the 27 spline no problem. The AWD transfer case from the GMT900 is the 4485, that has the 32 spline input shaft for the 4L80. LT on youtube did a 4L80 trans swap on...- dwinters14

Yes you did say that, but it was a specific year no? I have the 5.3 Flex. I figured something would have to change to work with the transfer case. I honestly do as well. I've driven in snow for years with RWD. The LSD makes a huge difference, and can do most normal things. They're $500 used, but don't the Denali's come with the 6.2's? Looks like a 6L80, not sure the compatibility of the splines on the input shaft. I bet it's the same with the Esky's as well. Hmm....- dwinters14

The issue is I do not want 4WD. Full time AWD. Why is that? Off the top of my head looking at numbers, we're looking at about the same cost as a supercharger. Update: Got the battery and alternator tested at autozone and they read okay. Today I was driving and the engine died, steering went stiff and I heard a loud screeching noise for about 5 seconds.
