BREAKING: GM is officially recalling the L87

I've been told all component coverage is non-transferable now. Sounds like they have no confidence, to me.

BREAKING: GM is officially recalling the L87

Was told the same thing by my dealer. No plan from GM and insufficient communication to dealers. My VIN is covered and described as "No Remedy"

Good luck getting any answers out of them (or even consistent answers out of them)

BREAKING: GM is officially recalling the L87

If anyone on here has received a component coverage letter for related engine replacement/repairs, I’d appreciate details on 1. when, and 2. Was it transferable or non-transferable. Feel free to message privately if preferred

    Yukon Engine Failure - Buyback?

Anyone else received a component coverage letter following these replacements? If so - I would really appreciate any details you could share on 1. when/the approx date, and 2. Was it transferable (stays with the VIN if sold) or non-transferable (limited to current owner).

BREAKING: GM is officially recalling the L87

Being pretty far along in the failure process pre-recall, I am left with a lot of questions. For one - I’ve had a total engine replacement in 2025 rod (bearing failure in original engine) and the replacement engine failed in approximately 10 miles (I’ve been told camshaft components). Now the...

    Yukon Engine Failure - Buyback?

There's hope. Let me know if you're up to discuss any specifics. My situation with failure #2 is increasingly sketch and I'm not sure what is next.

    Yukon Engine Failure - Buyback?

Both were at low speeds, traveling sub 25 mph at the time of failure. Very lucky for me. I had been on the interstate earlier that morning.

    Yukon Engine Failure - Buyback?

First failure the dash flashed “shift to Neutral” then when I attempted to do so it said “conditions not right for shift”. Second failure it just stopped, put itself in Neutral, and dash said “Press Start Again”. tried to start it but it just sputtered and clanged.

    Yukon Engine Failure - Buyback?

Dealership is about 15 miles from my house. I picked it up Saturday and drove it home. I just turned it on this morning and only made it 3 blocks before the new engine died. At least this time it put itself in Neutral?

    Yukon Stopped While Driving

My 2022 Yukon XL Denali had a total engine failure in February at roughly 16,000 miles. Same rod bearing failure others described. Oil pan was full of metal shavings. Engine was just replaced after ~ 40 days of waiting. The brand new engine just died after I drove it less than 20 miles. GMC said...

    Yukon Engine Failure - Buyback?

Status update: I picked up the Yukon after a complete engine replacement this weekend. I drove it home from the dealership. Just turned it on for the first time since Saturday, and the new engine failed 3 blocks from my house.

The engine on the Yukon I got as a replacement for the Yukon that got two engine replacements needs replaced. Yes, you read that correctly.

Curious on the the approach here - did you go through the BBB process with attorneys or just send a demand letter?
