Yes, already fixed the ASS. I agree the middle no-folding row is a deal breaker. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware GM even sold a Yukon with a middle row that would not fold. Why would anyone want that? Anyway, my fault for not learning about those seats ahead of time.- ducfan

Considering a 26 Tahoe or Yukon. Which engine is the most reliable?
I have a '26 Denali Ultimate LZ0 with about 5k miles on it. I am mostly happy with it. 24mpg lifetime, including break-in and 600 miles towing, driving as I normally would (+7mph everywhere). I have seen as high as 29.1mpg over 350 miles. I have put 1 box of DEF in it and am sitting at 50%...- ducfan

2025/26 Yukon interior trim swap?
+1 on the wrap strategy. Way cheaper, and if you don't like it, it isn't permanent. -

towing question
+1 on the u-haul online app. You plug in your tow vehicle and the car you want to load, and you get a pass / fail. I have used their car haulers perhaps a dozen times. Most I have loaded was a 4k lbs IS350, and the trailer was fine for that. The one thing to watch out for is questionable...- ducfan

‘24 Escalade ESV Sport vs ‘26 XL Denali Reserve (WWYD?)
Mine has the adaptive air ride. It is quite seamless. It really stood out the first time I towed a trailer with it. Definitely the best tow vehicle I have owned or used.- ducfan

100%. My opinion, for what it is worth, is that a hybrid is a poor EV, since the electric range is only 10% to 20% that of a full EV. The ICE component is severely compromised, in that you're carrying around a fat battery that has an awful electric range, and the exponentially greater number...- ducfan

Michelin Defender LTX Tires
I had the Defenders on my QX-56, which I just let go after my '26 Denali showed up. The Yuke will get Defenders by the time I have 20k miles on it. -

What’s the consensus on the Duramax reliability?
2600 miles on mine so far. Lifetime 22mpg, including break-in and a 500 mile trip towing a trailer (2200 lbs half way, 6200 lbs the other half). Worst tank was 19, and best was 25. I also had the thrust bearing checked according to the TSB, and it was within spec. My build date was 9/25...- ducfan

I picked up a '26 Denali Reserve in September. Very happy with it. I would take it over a couple-year-old anything. The suspension is incredible; I pulled a 6200 lb trailer with it, and truck just shrugged it off like no big deal. MPG average is 22 over the 2600 miles I have driven it...- ducfan

Went in for second oil change at 2350 miles. They pulled the B pillar trim and found a loose clip. Problem appears resolved. I asked them to do the thrust bearing check, since I have the LZ0. Came back negative (meaning movement in spec), and no charge for that. They also did a computer...
