    Pegged engine oil gauge

Did a quick search on changing the sensor, and this was the first video I watched, this gauge in the video is basically what mine is doing. And now that I have watched this video, he says these sensors are notorious for leaking, I wonder if that is the oil smell I've been smelling. I bet it...

    Pegged engine oil gauge

It definitely sweeps when the key is turned on or off. Off=zero. On=80, no bounce, no change when the engine starts. Turn off the key and back to zero, on back to 80.

    Pegged engine oil gauge

I did a search and this thread was the closest to what I am experiencing with my 2005 Tahoe LT 5.3. Was hoping @Trackman had posted the results of the fix. @Fless When I turn the key, my gauge pegs at 80. The gauge moves freely. I watched a video yesterday in the GMT900 area, the video was...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Unless you have taco pipes and the exhaust is really loud, then you might need more volume. I have found the 1din Kenwood I installed using the stock speakers works plenty good.

    California and Catalytic Converters

Sucks, too. The cat for my Jeep was just under 600 on rock auto, 1100 locally! Fun fact, my 81 C20 is a CA truck, but was manufactured in January, so it was an early experiment by GM and didn't come with a cat or egr valve. Just the air pump, and other items. If I want to add a cat to clean...

    California and Catalytic Converters

I respectfully disagree. Have encountered too many newer vehicles without cats and they stink to high heaven just like old vehicles do. Even my Jeep's cat, when it failed due to bad o2 sensor, it was as bad as any older vehicle. Cats do work, and do work well.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Mine was looking for me while at work, playing golf, anytime I wasn't home. Once she got out(I heard this from someone that saw this regularly) she'd then look to get back in, and once she couldn't, she went to roaming looking for me. I'd find her at the front door, nearby, a couple blocks...

Oil Smell when driving not idling

Interesting fact, changed the oil on Sunday, it doesn't smell at idle anymore.

Adjusted the headlights last night, and what a difference in light output having the bulb installed correctly. Also, never saw Breakfast at Tiffany's until last night. While she was hot, Audrey Hepburn's character in the movie, no thank you, too high maintenance

    [SOLVED] No heat at idle

What is the ambient temperature? While this was my 91 Cherokee, one time I was driving home and it was bitter cold outside. The temperature gauge would go up to operating temperature and then and immediately drop to 160-170-ish, and the heater was blowing out warm air. Stopped and with the...

    Michelin Defender LTX Tires

Apparently Michelin Defender LTX is a popular tire, while I was crawling around under the vehicle yesterday I looked up at the spare and it's an LTX. I am running General Grabber ATX, though, my go-to tire on all non-car vehicles.

    Michelin Defender LTX Tires

I would say no. Continental is a good tire. Edit: Just looked them up, they look to have a really good tread pattern.

Oil Smell when driving not idling

My apologies to the OP, while I do have oil smells, it's not visibly leaking, at least not that I've seen. It doesn't burn or use oil, just smells of it while idling. I do appreciate your input, and I do have some new valve cover gaskets to install. Life has been way crazy since Christmas...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

After getting the Tahoe home, went to adjust the headlights because the driver's side was burning holes in the pavement about 6 feet in front of the vehicle. Got them adjusted but the driver's side had to adjusted way high. I don't drive much at night so it never really got attention after...
