    Carbyte also disables the DFM= cylinder deactivation so the engine is in v8 most of the time. Makes it sound better when running a louder exhaust.

    Works but its not the same compound as the wax, is it? Should be able to find gm frame wax if one does some searching.

    The frame wax sticks to rubber pads and comes off on the pads. At least when its fresh and new. Maybe it hardens over time. I saw that there is touch up wax avaialble somewhere.

    I have 285/60R20 and they rub with a 2.5" lift, but my wheels are +1. At +18 you will probably be okay.

    I do hear it. That would bug me and I would be worried about an engine issue. It does sound like pre-detonation. In my experinece I go to different dealer and tell them what the other dealership did. Then they are happy to win my business.

    I didn't feel any difference, but I didn't get on them hard until after 500 miles. I did rev past the temporary redline on accident a few times.

    GM wrote the owners manual posted above. That's what they recommend. How could they program the computer to randomly change speeds while the owner is driving down the highway.
