    further update. Drove about 40 miles since adding the full bottle of Lucas and havent gotten the code or traction light warnings since. looks like it is a good band aid for the situation.

    I agree, after my little experiment im thinking I may be losing pressure to the lifters causing the misfire, I think the lifters get their oil via the cam bearing passages.

    So my PCM to cam sensor signal was fine as was the 5v ref and lo ref. While at a stand still and activating the cmp test the engine will raise to a high idle and command the actuator from 0-50 degrees in 5 degree increments which is did fine.     For the sake of helping the next guy I’m gonna try to keep this thread informed until I have a fix or delete the vvt altogether and put a fun cam in it. I spoke to a buddy who’s a gm tech and he suggested I run a new 5v wire from the pcm to the cam sensor. He says these harnesses aren’t the best...

    I don’t think so, nothing is impossible but it’s a gates sprocket which isn’t a low quality part. I spoke to a buddy who’s a gm tech and he suggested I look at some things.

    It was off when I initially did it and immediately gave me a p0016 for cam crank correlation so I tore it back down and reset timing, no more correlation but the p0011 persists

    Tensioner is new and the chain did not seem stretched, was about the same ive seen on other LS engines.

    Engine is bone stock Motul 5w40 2007 l92 Delco bolt, tensioner, harness, and magnet Gates actuator I own a shop purchased thru my vendors.

    To update, I filler the gap between the reveal molding and the door itself with black silicone and no more noise.
