    Installed some police issue spotlights today. Very very hard to find them for this model.

    Does sound like the ABS module. Check the front wheel bearings for any play in them to.

    I ordered a small 100 watt boss A/B class amp off of eBay for the sub in mine and it works perfect. plus it was small so I was able to install it into the console. I removed the subs and amp I had in the back because they just took up way to much room.

    I know the the transmissions are different from the 97 then the 98-00. If they dont have a harness let me know. It would probably cost $25 to just ship it. We have a few pull a part junkyards around here but some of the prices they charge for things are just plan stupid when I can buy some...

    I also have a '99 police package tahoe but I have not of that stuff on mine and have never seen any that has that stuff on them niether. Either the police department that had yours or a previous owner before you has done that stuff.

    I have a wiring harness but not sure if it will work for yours because its in a 00 Cadillac escalade and there was different add-ons for the escalade/denali models.

    I rechecked my 99 and I don't have a look that looks anything like that one in that area. Might be something that the '97 uses that the '98-'99 do not have. I would recommend getting another hardness for a '98 model and see if your issues are still there.
