    CrankCase's Build Thread

Really there are no updates. I actually sold the truck back in April and got a 2014 Ford Super Duty. I needed more pulling power and a heavier truck for the larger enclosed trailer I have. It already has a 6" lift and 37" tires, winch, lights, etc. I can't leave anything alone. As far as the...

    4.56 Gears Installed

I was right at $1200 parts and labor for the gears. Got my gears through G2 axle and had them installed at my local Chevrolet dealer. The driveline guy there is top notch so I trust him. I would recommend having someone do them that has does them on a regualr basis, such as a 4x4 shop...

    Auto Headlamp Delete

Ok, so after reading all the threads about adding resistors to get rid of the Auto headlamps and the issues that mod has, such as the dash lights being full bright all the time, the Auto HVAC not working correctly, etc. I decided to go a different route and couldnt be happier! First off, with...

Just for some reference, Here is a picture of the back side of my door switch: This one you can see the marked connectors better In the above picture, the plug in on the far right is the main harness plug in, the others are used as needed. Pop out your door switch, easy to do, just...

DL3 mirror swap on my 2010 Tahoe LS???

When I did my tow mirrors, the wiring form my original mirrors plugged into my door switches (corresponding doors of course), On the back of the door switch there are multiple plug ins, some used and some not used. For example, when I removed my DL3 mirrors i removed the plug in on the door...

LOL, Thanks. Think I will keep my flat black decals for now. They are definitely worth the money. Ive had mine for about 3 years now, on 2 different trucks and use it almost daily and I have never had an issue with it. You will not be dissapointed.

    Lifting a 2011 chevrolet tahoe

35's will fit with some trimming. I am running a 6" Fabtech lift and 35" BFG A/T tires. I did need to trim the front bumper/valance at a slight angle and pull the inner fender towards the bumper side a little bit to keep it form rubbing, just ran a bolt through the inner fender to a support...

    4.56 Gears Installed

Not sure you will be able to hit 20mpg with a 4speed trans. Mine has the 6 speed, so the top gear is well suited for highway driving. Be sure to reset your MPG monitor on the dash (if yours has it), itll take a tank or two for the computer to catch up. At least mine did.

    4.56 Gears Installed

The 4.56 is a great choice. I also regeared mine to a 4.56 and from the stock 3.08, the difference is huge. My fuel economy actually went up when going from stock to 4.56, I now get nearly 20mpg on long highway drives, and an easy mid 16 around town.

I put them in the center console tray. Basically just 2 round switches drilled into the front of the cubby hole infront of the cup holders. Dont have any pics of it though. I am looking into building a panel/box for the cubby area to place the switches, and a couple other items there. As I...

Here ya go: Light off: Light On: The house is about 50 yards away. These lights are just stupid bright, even in the daylight hours. I have a 20" Rigid Industries light, their light consists of the center 16" being a full spot pattern, and the outside 4" (2" on either side) being a...
