AC blows warm in front, cold in rear, confused

No, did not weigh in the charge. I don't think there is a cabin filter on 2005. If there is, it hasn't been changed since I've owned it.

AC blows warm in front, cold in rear, confused

Between the orifice and the firewall is cold with a lot of condensation but no ice. Firewall to accumulator is around ambient temp. I pulled the driver mix door actuator off this morning and it performs as expected, putting it back on results in proper function. It's cool outside right now so...

AC blows warm in front, cold in rear, confused

@swathdiver Recirc: code for recirc actuator position circuit fault, has been that way since we bought it in 2018. It doesn't do anything, just shows 0 for the position and actuator doesn't move. For all I know, maybe it's unplugged. Having recirc hasn't been a big deal for us. Isn't the recirc...

AC blows warm in front, cold in rear, confused

All front vents are blowing warm. Yes, I've tried recalibrating the actuators, no change.

AC blows warm in front, cold in rear, confused

Stats: 205 psi high side, 45 psi low side (88 degrees ambient temp), Tech 2 has all switches showing good data, AC is enabled, all actuators showing they are moving to commanded position except recirc (has been bad for 8 years). Rear evaporator assembly, accumulator/dryer, orifice tube all...

Help me with part terminology and number, RE: refrigerant pressure switch

The parts diagram that show the accumulator doesn't show the sensor. I cannot find any diagrams that show either sensor, they omitted from every diagram I can find. Are you able to find the appropriate diagram? It's a 2005 Yukon XL SLT 5.3L flex engine

Help me with part terminology and number, RE: refrigerant pressure switch

I need the A/C refrigerant pressure switch for my 05 Yukon XL, it's the low pressure one located on the dryer. It seems the terminology of the high pressure and low pressure switches isn't being used consistently across vendors and I'm confused which one is being sold by various vendors. Some...

    Brake Buying advice

Did you read the page you linked? I encourage you to look up the definition of conformed and burnish. They have nothing to do with transferring pad material to the rotors. As a matter of fact, the only place that is even mentioned was the opening line but none of the resources and data they gave...

    Brake Buying advice

Straw man? I'm just pointing out the unpopular facts. Justify your expensive brakes all you want. But unless you're running performance tires and driving on perfect pavement your tires will lose traction long before you reach the limitations of normal quality brakes (we're not talking auto-store...

    I need TPMS Help

If they miss so many signal transmissions in a row it trips that message. It's an indicator of dying batteries normally. If you're quick you can often cycle through your tire pressures quickly and see which lists "---" but often times by the time you see the message and react its already gone...

    Brake Buying advice

That's why we see the OEMs and dealers out there bedding brakes after they're installed right? There is ZERO value to bedding ceramics so forget about that from the start; ceramic pad material doesn't transfer to the rotors like semi-met does. Never mind the fact that many brake manufacturers...

    Brake Buying advice

I'm using Raybestos EHT3 (Enhanced Hybrid Technology) pads and Raybestos corrosion coated rotors along with Raybestos new-manufacture Optical Calipers w/ a lifetime warranty. So far I'm happy. I did notice a small bit of squeal the other day but I think it was a weather thing because that's the...

Is the Denali Hands Down the Best Tow Vehicle?

4WD isn't the same as AWD.... Denali is AWD, all 4 wheels being driven all the time... which means additional drivetrain losses. 4WD can have 2 wheels or all 4 driving. Not as much drivetrain loss as AWD. IMHO, you want 4.10 gears. 4.10 isn't all that common but they're out there. My XL has...

    Front differential. Rebuild or replace

I think I saw most of your questions answered except this one. You need to make sure it's the same gear ratio. Look on the RPO codes in the glovebox, GU_ & GT_ codes are the gear ratios. GT4 is 3.73 & GT5 is 4.10 but I think the AWDs had lower ratios so yours should be GU_ Make sure it matches...

Smoke at start up - Help!

We just had this discussion a couple weeks back. Lots of good info posted by multiple people. Look around and see if you can find it.
