Hi denalilex, anxiously awaiting a summary report. I'm preparing to begin the replacement of my Z55 stock shock components on my 2013 Tahoe.
What was the ultimate cause?
and
What was the ultimate fix.
Thanks!
My 2009 5.3 Tahoe went 210k mile before the AFM lifters went. Happen on a road trip 4 hours away from home. I chose to drive it home in that condition. Motor was toast when I got home.
Bought a 2013 LTZ with 113k on it and immediately plugged a Range Disabler into it.
2013 Tahoe LTZ-Is it normal for the rear air compressor to come on for about 30 seconds every time you start the truck. Mine has been doing this for more than a year.
Last week the compressor started sounding like it was struggling. This week it quit working and I've got a "Service Suspension"...
2013 Tahoe LTZ Key FOB Info:
I recently watched a YouTube video where you can program a newly purchased FOB using the buttons on the dash. Step thru your dash buttons to see if the dash LED readout provides the programing function. Apparently, some older Tahoe's allow you to program the FOB this...
I'm curious to hear the comments you receive. On a related subject, I've never been very comfortable with the accuracy of these dashboard oil pressure gauges in our Chevys. If I'm going to diagnose an issue, I want to be sure my data is accurate. Has anyone verified the accuracy of these...
Hoping someone has experience finding a quality aftermarket blacked out taillight assembly for my Tahoe. Also, is replacing with LED lights in these taillights a good idea (regarding brightness/plug-n-play/reliability). Thanks
I bought a 2013 Tahoe LTZ (5.3) with 129K miles this past spring and I paid more than that (although I flew south to find one with no rust). Hope the dealer sells it to you for 17.5-18K. Seems like a ok deal. I tried to talk the dealer down and after my speech he simply said "well do you want it...
Nice truck. I have way too much chrome on my black 2013 Tahoe LTZ.
Also, I was just thinking about whether I could delete the faux wood interior trim with vinyl. I like your results.
Another thought, I have a few dashboard cracks that are growing. I expect that one day, I will have to fix or...
Well, my 2009 Tahoe has been on mechanical leave (collapsed lifter) since the fall. It's parked in the back yard waiting for me to perform surgery. It's getting warmer here in Vermont so I'm thinking I'll schedule the procedure this May/June.
I purchased a 2013 Tahoe last month and having...
I received the Dorman 99156 Keyless Entry Remote 6 Button (FOB replacement kit) I ordered from Amazon. It included a new FOB and the FOB programming device that plugs into the OB2 outlet. It was very easy to program the FOB and the FOB works perfectly.
One note-I bought this so that I would have...
Hovering around $3.95 for regular unleaded here in Vermont. Down a bit from a few weeks ago.
Question: What advantages would I see if I used the mid-grade or premium gas in my 2013 Tahoe (5.3)? I have always used regular unleaded.
Thanks.
I've recently watched YouTube videos where you can program a newly purchased FOB using the buttons on the dash. Step thru your dash buttons to see if the dash LED readout provides the programing function. Apparently, some older Tahoe's allow you to program the FOB this way, others do not. My...
If you choose to sell your 2013 Yukon in the current market you will likely clean up. Used Tahoe/Yukon prices are insane right now. I just bought an awesome 2013 Tahoe LTZ. The truck is just what I wanted, but I paid for it, that's for sure.
