Thanks for the info. Mechanics here are limited rofl. Least now u know that the bearing can be replaced in that drivers side easily. Someone was trying to convince me you have to pull it apart and I should just get a junk yard one lol. Nuts around here.

The hubs were both changed a few months ago and I think the last time they did the seal was around thst time. Own seal was used the first time but not the last two.
124k miles on the truck. Both front hubs already been replaced. I hear no noise thst would sound like a bearing. If it was that, do you have to take the diff apart to change the bearing?
A mechanic told me today unless it starts dripping and hitting the ground he wouldnt worry about it lol. I think its just the fact I know its not supposed to. Still wish there was a way to just remove it all.
The power steering fluid is kinda reddish brown. As for the diff being amber I just figured it would be browner after being in there for months. I dont use 4WD but I know the axle spins regardless.
If that's the case why not replace the axle spline. Wouldn't that take care of the groove? Granted the shaft is expensive. Little sucker is like 300 bucks
Dont think so. I think the diff sits too far back for the font seal to be leaking onto it. Other than the seal or the axle spline being grooved I cant think of anything else that would cause it. Although the guy that put the seal in says the axle is fine.
After months of having the fluid in the front diff, what color would it be by now? It rained yesterday and it had fluid on it this morning to the point of almost dripping to the ground. However the fluid feels thin and is still amber in color not brown. I did have the brakes bled today but I...
Sorry to hear that. I hope that is not the case with mine. When It was at the dealership getting its brakes beld I asked about the adjustment and they told me they wouldnt do it. They only replace them. Of course thats probably more to do with not getting to charge you a lot for it lol.
