So the answer is that it can be done, but I had to buy a second set of captain chairs in bad condition out of a 03 Escalade and interchange some pieces. I used the seat brackets from the escalade as well as the upper seat frames. I had to remove the seat covers from the top seat frame of the... -

Verified the 03 Escalade Seats fit in my 05 tahoe. As for the seat frame / seat swap that has to be determined. They look almost exactly like the same seat though. Im thinking, its got to work… -

Recently purchased immaculate captain chairs out of a Yukon XL and didnt relize the floor was different in the XL than what I have in my 05 Tahoe. Found out they wont fit. My solution was to purchase some ripped uo captain chairs out of an 03 escalade for $60. Hopefully I can put the yukon... -

Front Bucket Seat not will not move full range.
I just pulled the front bucket seat to install new seat covers. I have reinstalled the seat and every button works. The seat controls / buttons all respond when pressed. My problem is that the seat will move all the way forward but when sliding it toward the rear of the vehicle it stops halfway...
