    1 wire to 3 wire alternator swap resistor needed?

    I have 99 Tahoe that I did an ls2 motor swap and I'm using a 06 corvette 3 wire alternator with a 2002 411pcm. My truck has 1 wire and my question is do I still need to run a resistor on this 3 wire alternator setup ? Alot of info out their saying if I have a battery warning light no resistor...

    Classicindustries had them but no longer available. Hey Fless I ordered that one but it does not fit at all as the part that will fit is the plastic drop in piece that will work with my existing bracket
