    Great Resource for a newbie

Welcome from another follower of Jesus Christ and current federal employee who very much looks forward to retiring at the end of the year, God-willing.

07+ Brake upgrade on a 00-06 NBS, is it worth it?

Reviving this thread because this is the next thing I want to get done to my 2005 Z71. I was going to order this kit for a 2010 and just wanted to make sure there won't be any issue with the brake hoses fitting my Tahoe. I have 18" rims on it already from a Silverado...

What would you buy if you had to replace your GMT800/900 SUV and couldn't buy a GM product?...

I'd probably replace it with a 4-Runner, preferably an older one with the 4.7L, and definitely from a state that doesn't salt/brine their roads. Second choice would be the same 4-Runner with a 4.0L. I had an '05 Tundra with the 4.7, and it was a very good truck to me (kept it for 17 years), and...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Changed the engine oil and filter. A/C Delco PF46E (I think) and 6 quarts of Castrol GTX 5W-30 high mileage. I noted the oil change in the manual and see I only drove it 1000 miles since it's last annual oil change.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I didn't have time to post on Monday, but I crawled underneath my 2005 Z71 for a quick inspection and noticed that there were some bare looking patches from my NHOU undercoating about a year and a half ago. I've since purchased my own sprayer and had about 2 quarts of Fluid film left over from...

Less than top notch tires for a good deal in 265/65R18

I've used Sumitomo tires on my wife's vehicles with no issues. I research tires on Tire Rack when I need tires and read what other owners have to say about them. General are also good. I used them on my old Tundra I used to own; they lasted longer than any other offroad tire I tried.

    Second Tahoe for me

I just looked at your sig line and noticed that your 1972 LeMans was my first car I put any kind of miles on. Got any pics of it? Mine had a 350, 3 speed auto on the floor.

Apparently Ford doesn't like profits: alienating the majority of Americans

Theoretically I agree with this. And I do agree we need government, for the reason I listed. And I also agree that the people in government are the problem. I'll also go one step beyond this and say this: as someone who trys to pour everything I learn through the sieve that is the Bible I...

Apparently Ford doesn't like profits: alienating the majority of Americans

I misunderstood your statement. My point being even if government decides it is going to take them away my rights still exist. Their attempting to do so is exercising power that hasn't been granted to them.

Apparently Ford doesn't like profits: alienating the majority of Americans

If I had the power to do so I'd double down on the extraction of "fossil" fuels. We have a lot of them, gas and coal in my area, and by not utilizing our own natural resources we're willingly held hostage to our "enemies" by our backward policies. The whole "climate change" agenda is an attempt...

Apparently Ford doesn't like profits: alienating the majority of Americans

That is the theory, but my rights are granted by God and even if government decides it will try to take them away it will not happen willingly or easily. During "covid," as a govenment employee, I was mandated to take the jab. I told them to pound sand. And never did take that mandated jab...

    Hello from NEPA

We heat our home with wood/coal, my wife and I are generally reclusive, we're born again Christians and attend a small independent Baptist church, and we both enjoy working out and staying in shape. I harvest deer off our property and this year I found out I really enjoy gardening. You can see...
