Annual oil change performed yesterday; well under 1000 miles driven in the past year. Nothing to note on the magnetic drain plug. The Tahoe has about 243,000 miles on it and, having retired December 31 of 2025 I hope to use the Tahoe some more in the coming months. It is our spare vehicle and...
Thank you. I bought the Tahoe from a friend of mine about 3 years ago. He did a lot of work to it so I don't know if he replaced the hood insulation and cover or not. The push bars or whatever it's called looks a lot like the ones on the state police vehicles around here.
Welcome from another follower of Jesus Christ and current federal employee who very much looks forward to retiring at the end of the year, God-willing.
Reviving this thread because this is the next thing I want to get done to my 2005 Z71. I was going to order this kit for a 2010 and just wanted to make sure there won't be any issue with the brake hoses fitting my Tahoe. I have 18" rims on it already from a Silverado...
I'd probably replace it with a 4-Runner, preferably an older one with the 4.7L, and definitely from a state that doesn't salt/brine their roads. Second choice would be the same 4-Runner with a 4.0L. I had an '05 Tundra with the 4.7, and it was a very good truck to me (kept it for 17 years), and...
Changed the engine oil and filter. A/C Delco PF46E (I think) and 6 quarts of Castrol GTX 5W-30 high mileage. I noted the oil change in the manual and see I only drove it 1000 miles since it's last annual oil change.
I didn't have time to post on Monday, but I crawled underneath my 2005 Z71 for a quick inspection and noticed that there were some bare looking patches from my NHOU undercoating about a year and a half ago. I've since purchased my own sprayer and had about 2 quarts of Fluid film left over from...
I've used Sumitomo tires on my wife's vehicles with no issues. I research tires on Tire Rack when I need tires and read what other owners have to say about them. General are also good. I used them on my old Tundra I used to own; they lasted longer than any other offroad tire I tried.
I just looked at your sig line and noticed that your 1972 LeMans was my first car I put any kind of miles on. Got any pics of it? Mine had a 350, 3 speed auto on the floor.
Theoretically I agree with this. And I do agree we need government, for the reason I listed. And I also agree that the people in government are the problem. I'll also go one step beyond this and say this: as someone who trys to pour everything I learn through the sieve that is the Bible I...
I misunderstood your statement. My point being even if government decides it is going to take them away my rights still exist. Their attempting to do so is exercising power that hasn't been granted to them.
