I have a 2012 Yukon SLE and it suits me fine. Better electronics and there’s no transmission hump in the back. I just wish it had a P/U type gate instead of the hatchback.
Unfortunately most dealerships are like that. They are there to sell product. They don’t make money on service even though most people purchase product at dealerships that stand by their product and service it with well trained mechanics, fast and reliable service. Which means getting it right...
I’ve never had to replace water pumps on the three GMC trucks I’ve owned. Radiators…Oh Yeah. The plastic on the return port always cracks after around 140K. But if you have doubts about the pump then to eliminate your doubts replace it. It will make your trip less stressful and you can get your...
The plastic heater hose, where it goes into the firewall, may have a small crack. The engine RPM goes up and the water/coolant pressure goes up. A small leak, over time, becomes a major break. Hope this helps.
Aloha folks! Much like my old 1999 Tahoe LT my 2012 Yukon SLE has a cracked radiator on the plastic tank, right below the top inlet/port. I had my 1999 Tahoe for 14 years and replaced the radiator in 2009 with a standard aluminum core/plastic tank. I wanted all aluminum, but it would have taken...
I’ve used Uniroyal Laredo Tires on my 2012 Yukon SLE and had no problems whatsoever. I was sold when I bought my 1999 Tahoe LT back in 2000. It was from Canada, right up around Winnipeg. It had Uniroyal NailGuard tires when I bought it. I drove those tires for almost 6 years before they wore...
If they’re properly installed they work great. Just make sure you have enough clearance in the wheel well. If the vehicle is lifted it shouldn’t be a problem. Also, be aware of your state’s vehicle safety regulations. Here in Hawaii there must be at least 1” between the fender and the tire. Most...
My 2012 Yukon SLE HAS 139K miles on it. Its value is $6K. Also, previous police vehicles have usually been handled pretty rough. I would have a trusted mechanic go over it with a fine tooth comb, plus a CARFAX report is always a good idea and fine investment. That being said…I wouldn’t pay over...
It’s important to get TPMS that are made or are compatible to your vehicle’s computer system. Also, not installing them right away or waiting a year might be a problem. Hope you get it figured out.
How are the swaybar bushings looking? My 1999 Tahoes bushings were just about gone which caused all kinds of problems. It felt like I was driving a big boat in rough seas at times. Replaced all the rubber bushings and stability returned. Just saying.
