Aw man, that's a bummer. Wish I could read the schematics to maybe find out as well. I have a random YouTube comment saved (on someone's video about doing a 2nd battery) that says the plug is for a stock isolator, hence my asking you guys for help. I wish I could find a gm guy who's been there...
It's not a diesel, it's a just a 2nd battery because I have (it came with the Tahoe) a sound system and an HID conversion kit. Yup, existing switch is taped over.
It's the actual plug for the accumulator, I need to tidy that up. Behind it is the battery isolator and to the left (not pictured) is the secondary battery.
Hey all, firstly I apologize for the late responses, I forgot I even posted this and the app didn't notify me that anyone responded. Anyhow, I appreciate the input from everyone.
As stated above, the 30amp draw from your sound system (huge JL fan btw) isn't going to tax your electrical too much. I'd still do the big 3 anyway, you get the most out of your system with doing it.
I live in Arizona and they have some pretty decent pick and pulls here, but I didn't have the time. It turns out it was the t connectors on the hvac hoses going to the heater, which the mechanic replaced for me. He also showed me my tensioner pully and idler pully were making way too much noise...
I wasn't able to get this done for a number of reasons. I opted to take it to a mechanic instead. I appreciate you giving me the advice regardless. He said my shocks are too long and that's the probable cause of it coming out of alignment, so going to be tackling that here soon, which I've done...
I hope not, because I have other leaks to address now, haha. Orange gunk from coolant, need a new windshield washer reservoir, and a leak under the engine. This thing didn't leak a drop when I first got it, now starting to.
Thank you so much. I'm already worried enough about the can of worms I may find doing my evap and then I saw that spring. Gonna attempt this and see what happens. Much appreciated. Will update afterward.
