    yup i've used them plenty of times for tire swaps/ installs but this latest experience rubbed me the wrong way. They did nothing but cause me more headache.

    I was quite frustrated because when they took the tire off before winter they made no mention of the patch at all but now when i have all but one tire back on "whoops we cant put this one back on and now you have to buy a new one"

    i asked them to just put the tire back on and id take it somewhere else that can patch and plug it. they would not do that and i just said screw it, bought the cheapest tire and left. This is Discount tire.

    i argued with them asking them to just put the tire back on and they wouldn't budge. very annoying but it turns out its quite difficult to drive with only 3 tires. good to hear it's a non issue. If i keep the tahoe for more than a few months which i hope to do, ill buy a full new set anyways

    yes same tire size 275/55/r20 only difference is tread depth

    new tire is currently on rear, I could move it up to the front and rotate when i find time but not sure when that would be.

    the tires are the same specs (width, aspect ratio, and diameter) just different tread depths spare tire is a no go as its not the same specs and can go max 50mph

    what is the reason for over and underinflation? Sorry i should have mentioned the rocky mountain is left rear. Wear is not a concern for me, diff/ other trans damage IS.

    yes have it in 2wd 85-90% of the time. i do have noise coming from transfer case but that is another issue that arose before the whole tire mess

    Transmission issue?

    Previous owner put the new trans in soon before I bought it. I would not have spend $6k on a transmission on a vehicle with 220k. It did make it 220k on original trans and at 252k its still on original engine with no lifter tick so that's a shock.

    I drove with it in 4wd auto and 4hi when we had 7 inches of snow and ice this last month but otherwise almost never shift it out of 2wd. In the past 10k miles I've shifted out of 2wd only 2 times, both in deep snow.
