    OEM Style Fender Flares

Anyone have any insights on the OEM style flares from Bushwacker or Monkey Autosports for a 2DR? I know both sets will fit, but the Bushwackers are about twice the price so I’m wondering if there’s a good reason for that, or if they’re basically the same thing. Also, if anyone has seen them and...

    Bought A '98 Yukon 5.7..

No sweat, it’s good to see that folks are still interested in trying help either way; this forum has gotten kind of cold recently. I just keep screaming battery cause this guy said he doesn’t have a lot of money or time to spend, but it seems like he’s trying to find the most difficult...

    Bought A '98 Yukon 5.7..

I think you're talking about the fusible link. That could be a cause of the vehicle simply not starting and everything being dead, but wouldn't be the cause of symptoms common to a severely drained battery (ie. dim lights, chime whine, no starter response, etc.) The fusible link (like all...

    Bought A '98 Yukon 5.7..

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, but have you checked the actual battery? Just cause you can get it to 12V on a recharge doesn't mean that it's able to hold that charge or that its got the CCA left to start the truck. Have you tried jumping it off a battery that you know is good? If the...

VARGA Rear Disc on 2 Dr Tahoe

I’m pretty sure the Varga brand was made mostly for VW applications; I have a buddy that had a pair on a 71 bus in the front, otherwise I’ve never seen em’ before. Maybe try and look on a VW forum about sourcing new ones and pad sizes...or just save yourself the headsche and go ahead and...

    Central lock switch not working

You can also try looking at the small kick panel under the E brake pedal, all of your locking wires run through there. Check out the12volt.com , they have pretty good info on wire colors and locations for most of the locking/door functions.

Positive Junction Box on Radiator Shroud

It's basically just a carrier for the fusible link that makes it easier to replace in the event that it goes bad. Ideally you should keep it, but you can always replace it with a regular inline fuse (50A I think) if you really want to get rid of the box. An inline fuse isn't quite as effective...

    Battery looses charge

Just to add to this: Make sure that when you're looking for the draw, everything - I mean EVERYTHING - is off. When you start pulling fuses you're gonna have your drivers side door open, which is going to show a draw so throw some tape or something over the door switch. I had a draw that was...

    Gear Ratio questions

96 2DR 4WD running a 383 with stock (rebuilt 4L60E) trans and was thinking about finally changing out my gears and maybe swapping in a 4L80E. I feel like the motor really isn’t giving off it’s full potential and was wondering what gears/trans/motor combo folks on here are running and are happy...

COMPLETED Big 4 Upgrade w/ additional grounds PICTURES

There's several of them: - [Body ground strap to Frame] Post on the passenger side of the firewall just above (or below, can't remember) where the heater hoses go through. - [Engine to Frame ground strap] Bolted to the backside of the engine on the upper passenger side. ---(Trace both the above...

WANTED: Denali or Escalade center console

Anyone one have a line on someone selling (or selling themselves) an OBS Denali or Escalade center console that's not $300+? All the ones on eBay are BIN's. Don't really care about condition as long as all the pieces are there. Thanks all.

    95 chevy tahoe multi-function switch

Gotcha. I had a similar issue but mine was turn signal related. If you feel so inclined, you can take the whole switch out and disassemble it. You'll see a small box on the end of the lever that (once you open it up) will have a bunch of little metal fin connection points. They get dirty...

    95 chevy tahoe multi-function switch

When you say "work in sync same with my cruise control" do you mean that when you switch on your CC your wipers turn on as well, or do you mean that the whole switch will work intermittently?

COMPLETED Big 4 Upgrade w/ additional grounds PICTURES

So after asking a question in a previous thread (http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71819) about doing the Big 3 and replacing the fusible link and potentially adding a Battery to Frame ground - that went unanswered, I just went ahead and did it. I actually did the Big 4, and...
